  • What's up?

I'm new to the game. Been playing for about a day and it feels like I'm being punished. There's nothing in this game for a DD to do, it's always GB. Nothing else. Look devs I'm new here, and I guarantee you that real newbs are getting turned off like I am. Is there anything in the works to alleviate this or did I just spend 10$ on premium to get screwed? Just a little frustrated, Val

Yep blitzkrieg has a much smaller map and lower tier ships. Its the green room. Dunno why'd you pay money already for a new game you just tried out, it's just going to make you feel obligated to keep playing until you got your money's worth.

Obsessed
Don't spend money. Just play with normal, SDE tend to shit on themselves with new patches and there's always a new event.

if you do want to stay in a gb room, don't rush at the beginning and load up with depth charge to hunt subs. Note that you won't be able to see the sub if you OH.

Bloodlines
read nf-guides.com for some really good pointers. It may be an old web page but is still very relevant to a new player such as your self. Also check trainworld.us as it has alot of ship armament and sailor info.
You could try the guides in this site as well but I found the others easier to follow and understand.

DDs can have uses but the game is level based so expecting to do as much as a player that has been
playing for weeks, months, or years is silly as well.
In DD, it's a learning basics of the game. Learn characters of different nations.

Oh yes, you can. First impressions are everything these days, thanks to a low attention span.

That sadly, And NF does come off as quite a complex game with a big learning curve.

Its great fun, but not correctly promoted imo.

I love being a NOOB. 6 hours of playing time and having fun.

I love games with long hard learning curves.

Just hope after learning, (I am an old dog so new tricks are hard for me.) I won't get bored.

good luck with trying to have fun in the game in anything smaller than a BB. SDE really screwed new players over by introducing shared exp and eliminating rooms where one can play against opponents of similar tiers.
