In Shared Exp rooms.

Retreating should cause the ship to sink and be added to the opposing teams attack (Which takes into account SD and DP of the ship).

In CV War Rooms;

Retreating should cause 0 exp/credit and points at the end screen;

Why?

To stop people rage retreating in order to give no exp to the enemy

To allow the default map to be something other than No Way Out 1 (because of the removal of the above).

To stop the FW AB'ing in CV war rooms.

EDIT:-

This has been updated so that you still get exp credits and points if you retreat in any room other than CV War rooms.

retreating should have an exp penalty period. on top of the retreating in shared rooms.

I've seen people of late even in blitz rooms retreating before the 5th minute to avoid giving the other team their coin.

As Miet said on ONF's forums, you don't want to wait for the nasty sub that won't surrender and will waste 5 mins of your time.
Even if it doesn't happen that often, since most of players are usually nice enough to just fire a few torps, I would hate to wait for this guy!

Maybe implementing a timer-based penalty would be a solution : I mean, if you retreat before 10 mins, 0 exp/credit. After 10 mins, no changes.
Or something with the remaining ship count ...

Recommended anyway.

Actually, retreating after 10 minutes is worse; e.g. a cv retreating off the map because he doesn't want to give enemy attack.

However, an isolated situation would be a sub remaining and wasting everyone's time; A fix for that would be if only one non BB/CV is remaining, the time limit becomes 1 minute.

If it is possible to implement this, that would be great. That's what I was meaning when I said "something with the remaining ship count". Maybe with only SS left and 2 mins.
Why only SS, because if you are too lazy to sink an AA/ASW ship, you don't deserve your Xp.
2 mins -> let the SS have time to score a bit

I said a timer based solution because I'm not really confident with SDE ability to fix their game, and I know that they know how to use a timer thing (premium + coins). But I don't really know much about it.

Plus I always thought (based on my experience, I may be wrong) that the attack you make on CVs is not really rewarding Xp wise. So I would care much if I can't score 20k more atk sometime.

Edit: I WOULDN'T care much....

Its something that is broken and will hopefully be fixed in the future.

No.

If I am the CV south and the lone BB that went south gets nuked in 30 seconds the rest of the team north will get raped and this will be a loss. If I retreat why should I lose the personal credits I gained? The exp will be very low anyway, if the enemy reaches me in time, fair enough. Or give my dp to the enemy attack counter, I'm fine with that. It's not about not giving exp, its about not wasting my time for a certain loss.

Surely if south gets nuked in 30 seconds you are going to be dead in another 30 or so?
