So, my idea is delete green lines of main guns and add values of angles rotating guns (0 - 360 degrees).
Of course left angles of altitude guns and lines of aa guns.

1. angles 45 degrees of altitude guns
2. angles circa 80* of rotated guns


1. angles 45* of altitude guns
2. angles of rotated guns: forward guns circa 45*, rear gun circa 30*

It need add second pair watches of angles.
At the beginning of this new system could be create though 1 selected mode of battles "real shooting".

The manual fcs at beginning of playing seemed difficult too.
My gold bar is irrelevant in this topic. Your post is "argumentum ad personam" and doesn't relate for my idea.

You don't want to try even this solution. What are u afraid? This solution makes battle more real.
Time of batlle would be longer or battle could be last even all the time - next logging players could be join
to battle at balance - no more waiting on start battle! Finaly can be exploit harbours where ships would be repair, change sets and crew after return there. It'll exploit a few teams (alpha, bravo, charlie...), fleets in the same battle. Maps bigger, bridge operator with more sight, longer range of guns, smaller fog of war, etc..

i think most angles are setted to their max angle on real life

You want to get rid of the guidelines, and in order to know where your guns are pointing, you want the angle of rotations of your guns to be displayed, like for the "height angle" we currently have?

The current manual system already requires some time for beginners to be effective, and some ones never really get used to it (auto on BBs FTW). I think it would be really to hard, and you would miss like all the time. Prepare to run out of shells quite fast!

Pointless to do this, I promise you yourself would have a hard time aiming if this was done.



Try grinding to at least 4 gold bars before making crazy radical suggestions. You have not even reached the end game and your trying to make have radical changes is quite over the top. The current manual aiming system is fine as it is and does not require changes.

No, this suggestion will make the game too hard.

But what about using archs that grow wider or shorter when the angle of the gun is raised?

Let's say you have an angle of 45, then the arch radius will show the trajectory of the shell and where it will land. This could help people learning how to use manual, and it could be implemented as an (special guideline) that can be turned on or off.

You are stumbling on a decent suggestion made a while back, to have a training manual FCS with a sliding marker based on gun angle. Might be worth making a new thread about that.

As for this one. I suggest OP grind a single level with F6 and no guidelines, let alone 4 gold bars, before subjecting the rest of the community to ridiculous ideas.

Again, to OP, hit F6. Play for a while, and you will see why that doesn't work too hot in a 2D game. You will score very little attack and you will change your mind very quickly. It would not work with a sprite based system.


In a 3D game like a certain Battleship game, involving the Pacific War. it'd probably be another story and work.


Also try replying on a forum properly. There is no advantage to replying in the OP, it just makes it longer and clutters the forum when a thread is more than 1 page long.


Its common sense not to suggest trying to get a game radically changed if you haven't experienced the entire game.
