Do you think Ron Paul is the only chance U.S. has for the near future? I'm not sure if political gander is aloud in NF
forums as I hadn't been here in a long time, but I just wanted to share that.

The speech is given by ron paul in 2007.

Pretty much your problem.

the fact socialism brings shortage of about everything, less individual freedom and a corrupt government that grows rich on the people's back obviously has nothing to do with why it didn't catch on.

Nothing at all.

And the more toward communist you go, the more it gets obvious.

Really? Cause Canada seems to be doing fine with some socialism, as does Britain and Germany. I think us Canadians still have a AAA+ credit rating, whats yours? Ahh thats right downgraded because your deregulation has of course failed you as human greed took over and the Wall Street Banks screwed your Nation and the world, then got bailed out with even more Public money and laughed at you as you re-funded them on top of everything.

No one asked for Communism, we asked for some Socialism to balance out the wealth. Communism will never work for the same reason deregulation has failed you again (1928 anyone), human greed.

The height of America 1945-1970 had some socialism, lots of unions, and regulations and then you allowed Reagon to break all of that. You've been down hill since, you have no manufacturing base. Look at Korea or Japan or even Germany for example. Countries that are doing extremely well and can be considered 1st world countries all around, unlike China which is a 3rd world poor rural country yet still climbing. They all have one thing in Common. They all have a manufacturing base in there own country, not in Mexico, China, Taiwan, Philipines etc etc and they buy domestic products.

Seeing as I'm french canadian, I'm well aware of what socialism bring. And my credit rating would be AAA+.

We wait for hours in our hospital, have trouble getting nurse, doctor, teachers for our underpayed school, a crazy debt that keep on growing, and falling bridges.

Ow an union's controlled construction field with tons of corruption from them. They also like using their members, who they forced in using Rand formula, to pay them money they can give to their friends or use to back up the political agendas of their leaders.

And as a Canadian living in Ontario I feel like I need to disagree with you there.

Sure, we got to wait a bit to see a doctor but that sure as hell beats not being able to go to a doctor because you can't pay for it.

In Quebec, we are at you can see the doctor, but he's unavailable.

Extreme emergencies are well taken care off. its those who come in with not immediately life threatening, but potentially serious conditions that sometime get left there and I think one died in Montreal, in an hallway.

Most of the issue lies with the huge administration that eat up lots of money, and the fact our best doctor go work elsewhere, Ontario included since they get better condition.

You didn't have a provincial governement that decided to send half the nurse and doctors to pre-retirement at the end of the 90s.

We did.

You don't have those massive unions that sucked up cash to the governement for 30 years.

We did.

Alright, I don't want to support the communist side here but in America he hospitals re not any better I waited the other day 10 hours o get 3 stitches :/

I think what we really need to do though is go back to our roots, have a smaller government, and become more of a republic as we were right now we have too man people with power and most of them corrupt. Either that or we just need a new form of government that gets rid of corruption :P (Socialism would really just about triple the corruption look at the USSR)

Edit: Sorry for any typos my keyboard on this laptop is half broken :P

In some countries you would have gotten no stitches.

Sure socialism is "Working" for the UK... Its only second behind the US in the amount of debt it has.At least the GDP of the US is higher than its Debt (Though that might chance soon...), unlike the UK were its debt is 400+% of its GDP

Over 180 counties have external debt. There is an issue with more than half of the world where governments can't stay in the black and out of the red.

I am one of the many americans that needs constant healthcare due to very complicated medical issues that could potentially kill me(And some that wont) such as high blood pressure, seizures, hypoglycemia, spine damage, nerve damage, sleep apnea, and the muscles in my knee are damaged also, at any point i could have a stroke, heart attack, or just simply go to sleep and never wake up.

I can't afford healthcare, i haven't seen a regular doctor in 2 years, i rack up debt every time i have to go to the ER just to get a 'bandaid' solution instead of getting the issue fixed, this countries healthcare system is so messed up people in africa have more access to medical care than most americans do and the sad thing is the people in power have absolutely no intent on fixing it.

And according to the government, i am still able to work while not being able to walk correctly and sit/stand for a long period of time without extreme pain.

Yeah that kind of boils down the the whole we need to get rid of corruption thing, as you said more money goes to people in africa than here and its not just that we also give away millions of dollars to stupid things such as "teach prostitutes in china to drink responsibly" and to the african field mouse or something long those lines
