is the kaiser server dead ?
is it going the same way as the nelson server?

server time 1500 pst amount of games 1 gb and 1 blitz in progress
and 1 gb and 1 blitz in waiting
so thats about 80-100 players where is the rest of the playerbase
its even worse when the time is befor 1500 pst

there are no events so there are no players
so do we need events 24/7 to get a playersbase thats wants to play?

or do we need to put the kaiser and nebraska servers in to 1 big server?

the way things are going now all i see when i play is a playerbase thats gets smaler every month
ore players that come out for events only

the waiting to play a room is just bad 5min+ just to wait on the cv's
and then if u get kill'd fast and have to start to wait all over again

I know for me its D E A D and when the split came the last time I ended up with 1/2 of my people on kaiser and the rest on Nebby and that is the one I play even though I have spent quite a bit with player Boosts on Kaiser.

Three HUGE games just came out. No one thinks that those could be occupying people's time?

That silly single player wow game probably has something to do with it, plus the latest CoD, BF3...

Aside from that, the seemingly never-ending series of events that began in the summer spoiled many people. I think that now that exp gain went back to normal, and no item drops, said people are drawn away from the game.

Hi all..

Quote-
is the kaiser server dead ?

No its not, would you like it to be dead? ,then keep posting this rubbish.

Point 1 - 3 great games have just been released, as stated above. - Seriously, half the community is playing BF3 and MW3 atm, no big deal.

Point 2 - Soooo many events people have burned out from TOO many 6am sessions trying to get ALL they can from events. this needs to be stopped and let the game get back to normal.

Point 3 - Hacksheild took away a lot of players, yet i now see them coming back slowly.

Point 4 - If people really think waiting a few mins for a room to start = server dead, then perhaps you need to find a more suitable game for you. And stop trying to kill off a game i enjoy by constant moaning, without giving any suggestions on how to improve these issues. Moaning about things will not fix it.

Point 5 - Constant Moaning here on forums about this subject also does not help to get new players into the game

Point 6 - Just moving over to Nebby does not solve the real issues of getting more people to play NF.

Point 7 - Having a good community HELPS to grow the game, again, for anyone new reading this rubbish is not a help at all.

Point 8 - I personally would not like to merge with Nebby. For 1 reason the lag issues i would expect to get over on nebraska server, also the issue of a full server and not being able to log in to play, when my time allows it.

Point 9 - There has been a lot of big changes of recent(last year or so), Which has put off a lot of people, i am sure NF had more players when it was Nebby/NY(?)/Nelson servers, as of which i really enjoyed nelson server, shame it closed in my opinion. Nelson really did give new players a chance to learn the game in a less aggresive enviroment. No-one really on Nelson was interested in being UBER, we were just enjoying our gaming and having fun, which i really do miss.

Point 10 - Now this is an important point, and 1 that no-one has picked up on yet, to my supprise. But for those that have not yet worked it out, now is the time to tell you. NF has started there new premium trading system, in which all players can now swap sailors for olives, AND this is possible ACROSS servers. Now is your chance to VOLUTEER to move over to Nebraska server for yourselves, if you really feel that strong that you NEED this merger. Work it out guys, here is your given chance from NF to move to Nebby, pls feel free to do so and STOP this moaning and whining about things are not perfect for you here on Kaiser.

There are more points but i will go on no more for now. But i am noticably not enjoying seeing theses posts day after day, with nothing but moaning and groaning. I'd like to log on each day to see members suggesting good ideas to build this community, because its the community that can make the atmosphere and gaming enviroment a better one to play in, by doing things such as vk222u is currently trying to do, by starting a open competition for players to enjoy, etc. Community spirit is what is needed, NOT more NF events and more mergers.

Think i said enough
Cheers

1). Is Kaiser server dead?

In short, not really. Is Navyfield dying? Definitely yes.

2). Do we need events 24/7 to get a playersbase thats wants to play?

No. Sure it will boost #s temporarily but after the event ends the # of players will drop off once more. I see it more like a sin curve in math. Yes the event will bring in more players while the event is going. People will play a lot and be active during that time. However, once the event is over the activity will drop dramatically and people will take breaks from NF. Thus you see a drop off from the normal # of players.

3). Do we need to put the kaiser and nebraska servers in to 1 big server?

I would be against that. Sure the merge would boost number of games and players on one server but in the end it would not bode well for Navyfield.

If you played this game back in beta or even just 3 years ago you will see that the # of players have dropped a crazy amount. Back in the peak days of Navyfield on the New York server on event days, you would have 1 battle room completely full and the other half full. Games would start within 2-3 minutes and you wouldn't have these long 6-8 minute waits to play the game.

So activity has most certainly dropped off a lot. Grinding however has come much easier. Premium is now I believe 20% more than premium from a few years ago. GB2 and GB1 has had their exp gain increased a few times also. However, to counter act that I guess there is less rooms that start and much more waiting. Thus you need to spend a bit more time trying to play the rooms to get the exp you need. All in all grinding is still much easier now than years ago.

Navyfield has not done much to re-invent itself. New games are constantly being released. NF game engine is super old and outdated. It was based off a concept a few years before the game even came out. You have lots of bugs and crashes with the game. Hackshield was a huge killer for many players and still people remember that and refuse to come back even though it was removed. The premium trading system is a nice implementation but 3 years too late.

In the end, this is a sinking ship. I'm sure the next new navy game will put the final nail on the coffin that is Navyfield.
