I was recently doing research on some of the ships in Navy Field, mainly the American ones, and realized that there were quite a few missing
(I know you can't have all ships from WW2, but some of these are major classes).  H
Here are a few ships I think should be added(possibly as remodels of existing ships in some cases):

Allen M. Sumners class (Similar to the Gearing)
Fletcher ASW (A modified fletcher that is optimized for anti submarine warefare with stronger health against torps)
Des Moines Class Heavy Cruiser
St. Louis Class Light Cruiser
Oregon City Class Heavy Cruiser
Worcester Class Light Cruiser
Fargo Class Light Cruiser
Balao class Submarine (122 were built, the most of any American submarine class, and some remained in service into the 1970s.  This sub was better than the Gato)
Narwhal Class Submarine (Mounted a 6 in deck gun, largest ever put on an American Submarine, but it wasn't as good as the Gato or other contmeporaries)
U-Boat Type XXI(also known as the elektroboot, possibly the best submarine of WW2, but only 2 were commissioned before the end of the war and never sunk a ship)
More to come

Scratch my last 2 ideas actually, or just the Ruler class idea. The Bogue and Ruler class were almost the same. The Bogue sometimes had 2 4 in guns, and sometimes had 2 5 in guns.

There was one escort carrier that truly was unarmed, the Long Island Class Carrier, it came before the Bogue.

There was a one ship class for the USA called the Wasp class, it was basically a scaled down Yorktown class.

That would be the Musashi me think.

I have got to ask this as I haven't seen the ship anywhere on the USN ship tree. where is the Arizona?? it was a Battle ship that was commissioned and involved in WW2. Yes it sank at Pearl Harbor but it was in the war none the less. there are several ships that are not on any ship tree and in my opinion if your gonna do an accurate replication of WW2 those ships that were involved in this war should be added to the ship tree. either as remods of other ships or as their own.

The Arizona was the sister ship to the Pennsylvania, so technically its already included. The ship tree includes ship classes, not individual ships, so we have the Brooklyn class instead of the Helena/Boise/etc and the Pennsylvania class instead of the Pennsylvania/Arizona. Some of the EBB's are technically sister ships of classes that exist on the tree already (Mississippi and Maryland sisters to New Mexico and Colorado), so there's the possibility we could see them there, but I doubt it. Adding to Arizona to the regular ship tree would be pointless because it would be a clone of something already there.

On the same note the St. Louis class CL is just a Brooklyn class with slightly different secondary armament. Kinda pointless as a separate class, but maybe a remodel with different T-slots? The big change was the addition of 5" 38 twin turrets, so maybe make it a remodeled Brooklyn with larger T-slots than can mount decent AA.

ok so the Arizona falls under a certain class. thanks for clearing that up. and I wasn't really asking for it to be strictly an added ship unto it's self. I did reference it as a remodel for one of the ships in the class it, or any of the others, fall under. possibly making slight changes to r slots and t slots as suggested by others here would be a good thing yes??

The Pennsylvania class already has a remodel which gives an improved T-slot setup, the Penn 1945. The Arizona never made it to that point, so when it was sunk it was pretty much the same as a base Pennsylvania. Not that I'm opposed to new ships, just that I'd be more interested in seeing ships like the Des Moines class, something thats quite a bit different than any other class. Be interesting to see Arizona as an EBB or Premium though. I never understood why USN gets Sevastapool just like SN. Weird to have a Soviet battleship instead of a USN one.

I would really like to see the Des Moines class in the game, maybe as a premium ship. Apparently the only other ships bigger than it were battleships and battlecruisers/large cruisers, and carriers. Also like the Worcester, even though it had less guns than some of it smaller predecessors, it would go well with the dual 6in guns antiair.
