Blitz is for players learning the game. PHH used on surface ships is an exploit imo, and to many others. Also imo, since it is a place to learn, people have either been learning a crap way to play, or being victimized by lame exploiters just using an unsustainable way to get over without really using skill or tactics. Bad all the way around. Now players will be able to learn manual fire, learn maneuvering, without some powernoob rolling up and one shotting them with PHH.
Now, on the other hand, In GB, not only are there SS to use them on, but the guys you unload them on in surface ships already know how to play, know it isnt a thing to be copied, and basically put up with it. It IS hella fun to roll up and melt a BB6 with my Moltke loaded with 12 PHH launchers. Really, REALLY fun. Ayone who says they havent is a liar, lol. But again, it isnt something to make a playstyle out of, just something to do for a few battles for a bit of Monty-Hall fun.

I don't see anything wrong with giving a Fletcher five guns with BB1+ damage and similar range.

And OP, have you ever considered that PBBs aren't allowed in blitz?

No.

HH are a exploit in GB too. The fact its a not surface weapon works in surface and thats the origin of all troubles arround HH.
RL HH its just a underwater grenade that explodes only when touch something. Clearly a grenade CANT sunk a surface ship. But here in NF it does... every minutes.

So NO. No more new HH Noob borns from Blitz, we barely support the ones allready born that now playing GB. Thats ones learn wrongly this game as a HH running to reach high level ships to exploit one of most clearly fantastic item in the game.

So no!!!

No HH in Blitz, and nerf then in GB so as not to damage surface ships.

Actually not true. HH were used against ships. They are a contact weapon.

Not sure you're correct lionel, other than in a very unlikely scenario involving 2 ships getting within 100 yards of each other and deciding to fire HH instead of guns, or deploying HH during a main gun battle, from completely exposed positions, just doesn't sound mega-feasible. We're talking inside gun range, inside torp range, inside rifle range , even. If the 2 ships fighting were still operable at that point, I just don't know.

Hedgehogs were an Antisubmarine Weapon. If you have a record of them being used other wise it was not SOP, but a last ditch effort against an enemy that got to close, as the range on hedgehogs was very short, around 250 yards. Check this link for details.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedgehog_%28weapon%29
