  • Trading Using Olives

As you will be aware at the moment there is a system for gifting olives to another account; however, there is no provided facility for the trade of items for olives between different accounts.  We are now working on introducing a system that will facilitate the trading of some items from one account in return for olives from another.  In the meantime the previous policy whereby we said it was not illegal to trade items for gifted olives, but we would not condone it or support it if it went wrong,  has been the subject of debate and a new policy has been formulated:

With immediate effect (from the date/time of this posting) the trade of olives for items in-game (including any individual item but also an account of items) is prohibited where there is not a SDE provided system that facilitates the secure and instant trade of the items involved for the return of olives.

There will not be any exceptions to this rule.

Official details on new trading system:

How it works

1)     Seller pays 1 olive for a registration fee and may post the listing.

2)     Maximum numbers of tradable sailors are 10 at once.

3)     Listing will be valid for 7 days. If trade is not made within 7 days, listing will be removed.

4)     Olive will be used as currency for all trades.

5)     When buyers click to purchase the sailors, the status will be changed to “pending”.

6)     GMs will check all the details and manually move the sailors.

7)     After trade is completed, olives will be paid to seller.

8)     There will be an additional 10 olive selling fee.

(If buyers have insufficient amount of olives, trade cannot be made.)

9)    All trades are final. We are not responsible for any loss due to sharing account information.

10)  Trade spamming restrictions will be applied in battle rooms.

**These changes will be applied after tonight's maintenance.

Well for posterity, it seems like right now (on Nebraska),

$1 = 20 olives = 1.0 ~ 1.5M credits

Just based on the cost of elite L12s and the differences in cost between boosted and non-boosted sailors.

So, is it allowed to trade olives for stuff, and is it safe?

I think this would be a good system to intertwine into the game. When I buy olives now I end up using all but about 10~30 of them. This would give me a place to finally finish of these leftovers. As said before the Nebraska server gets 1~1.5m for every 20 olives ( or $1 ). I expect it to raise slightly because people will believe it a good safe way to trade but I don't expect it to change too dramatically. This would make people have to work less in-game to get items they really want.

What about trading credits or points for olives?

I know many people who have given credits or points for olives.

This whole thing is confuising..

Does this mean SDE will be getting rid of the gifting option for olives?

If so, how will people buy olives for other people?

IF this happens.. maybe there could be an option to put your credits or points into the item list so you can trade your friend the credits and points for those olives instead of items?

I realise most of the things I just said probably have no relativity to this subject, or are completely off topic, But as I said, (atleast) the main post is confusing, and I don't quite understand what is being said. It would be appreciated if this would be cleared up in the main post.

Like keep adding edits in the main post to update it and clear everything up.

Currently, the mil per dollar is about 1.5mil- 2mil angeal.

I doubt it will change much from there.

I have bought Olives for people before, and If it's a fleet mate, I charge 1.5mil credits or points (if I have enough credits), and for non fleet mates, I will charge 2mil per dollar (or atleast I like too, but usually go 1.5mil)

So honestly, for those who think credits/points value will be inflated, or become useless, I dont think you have anything to worry about, the price for olives will probably not change. at the most, it might go up to 2.5mil per dollar.. but at that... people are greedy when it comes to their credits, and won't go over a certain amount of credits/points.

But if trading credits or points for olives is not allowed, SDE better f****** hurry up with this trade system so its allowed. Or the rules better be changed to allow it until this trade system is out. Because without this trade system, If trading credits for olives is not allowed... How the hell will players lagitly get olives gifted to them?

yet again, the main post is still confusing as hell, So I still may not be getting it... and to that note... If a rule was put in place here that does not allow trading of credits for olives, It better dam well be better clearified if there is to be any disciplinary action like bans, perm bans, or anything like that. Or it better not be inforced until there is this trade system put in place. Becuase in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with trading credits for olives, it helps BOTH parties equally... the person gifting gets the credits they need, and the person paying credits gets thier olives.
