As you can imagine it was not intended to introduce the possibility for EBB guns to be fitted to non-EBB ships.  It will patched out as soon as it can be, along with some other fixes including the removal of changing the starting direction.  In the interim it would be impracticable to police the use of EBB guns on other ships and this applies to fleet wars, fleet battles, HAs etc. Consequently, we will not attempt to prevent the use of EBB guns on other ships until the patch is in place.  I will try and clarify what could happen if you have EBB guns fitted on a non-EBB when the correction patch is put in place,
but personally I would recommend they are removed before any future patch just in case.

As for the direction changing, I would appeal to your mature side not to spin rooms or to start rooms with ships facing anything more than 45 degrees from the straight towards the enemy position.
If your immature side takes over and we receive complaints in the normal manner or a member of TeamNF sees it and considers it disruptive, then do not be surprised if your immature side receives some corrective action.

Please highlight this to fleet mates and others to reduce the temptation.  Once again these are a couple of glitches that got through the system.   We are aware of a couple of others, like the long room title display etc and we apologise for allowing these to creep in to this patch.
We are working with the Developers to get them put right asap and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

 We also welcome other reports of bugs, but when you do a screenshot and full description really helps.

well ....

i guess we can now officially add the harbor crash bug return to the list as another undocumented ninja patch issue bug resulting from the latest sde patch fiasco

so far we appear to have :

- the annoying room spinner has been reactivated

- the old ebb gun bug is back again for premium ships

- the ha crash bug is back (remember when they closed down HA for a few years over this issue ?)

and since that last one is entirely due to the sde patch mess up - then perhaps further HA's should all be cancelled -and- aa fleet should have their harbor returned to them as a re-set ... or some other form of compensation towards each aa member from sde should be considered to make up for lost event drop time as well as lost of harbor rentals and repair and revenue

Never did understand getting banned for it, even BEFORE you guys took it out. Do people not know how to turn their ship around?



that bit about starting backwards .. like for example with a kita trying to get to the front and rush out to get all fish in water ... caused a lot of backwall torping (some have even been wrongly BOT-BANNED over inadvernetly rushing the wrong way) .. spinning rooms is lamer play and disupts people's attempts for ship position at start .. it hurts the team thats not turned correctly .. especially those lamer spinner flags that like to spin just before the split and confuse people on A into thinking they split to B ... it messes up people and disrupts play .. it also unneccessarily aggravates people into flag-tk's out of justified anger and frustration .... its an immature disruptive lamer thing that is best removed ..

Of course it isn't a priority, I agree, but it would be nice to keep something that the community loves (without the undesired side effect in GB's; Its fine in fleet battles!)

It would also be nice to have a room with more than one team, but with the map size and North/south mechanics wise, i'm not sure if it would work.


I for one do not like the spinning, in GBs at least, but im all for bringing back the charlie and delta , 4 sided battles would be crazy fun

Ok ok, so let me get this straight. Because someone in a kita who isnt smart enugh to look at the minimap at the start of the game and realize he is rushing to the border and goes rageing its bannable? How does that make sense? And how does it hurt the team, i can recall countless times were the team who got turned still won. And if someone gets confused cuz they cant be bothered to actually look at what team they r on its their fault, not the flags. Hell if we are gonna ban stuff that people deem disruptive to others, can i get people banned for using subs..they are disruptive and causes rage.

Simple solution to the spinning thingy.
At the start of each battle have a big message flash on everyones screen saying "ENEMY THAT WAY".
And of course a large arrow pointing in the appropriate direction to accompany it.

Message could also be in Spanish for the English challenged.

Back when they still had them the multiple teams were really fun. The only downside is that Charlie team was extremely close to bravo team. You can imagine that Alpha was always the victor due to this since Charlie and Bravo would weaken themselves fighting eachother first.

The server I am usually on? Perhaps you could expand on that falcon with actual statistics?

From my point of view:

May 11:

Nebraska 54.5
Kaiser 49.75
Total 104.25

Jun 11:

Nebraska: 31:55
Kaiser: 25:49
Total Hours: 57:45

Jul 11:

Nebraska: 34:18
Kaiser: 27:31
Total Hours: 61:49

Aug 11:

Nebraska: 40:04
Kaiser: 35:16
Total Hours: 75:20

Sep 11:

Nebraska: 40:13
Kaiser: 43:53
Total Hours: 84:07

As you can see there is only generally a small weighting towards Nebraska due to the size of player base and also that appears to be where my attention is quite often in demand. But overall I do try and split my time fairly evenly between the servers. Jun/Jul were lower due to holiday before you ask.

I'm actually kinda surprised just this new "rule" has many of you so upset. So many server rules that baby the community (IMO). I find many of them laughable though.

Unfortunately, time and time again the community has proven that as a whole, they need these rules otherwise they go exploiting.

There is nothing wrong with these rules, it isn't TNF's fault that SDE didn't do an emergency patch, they are just trying to make our lives better until they can fix it.

We have asked about leaving it for Normal rooms and we will ask again about the multiple team format. The last time we asked on that particular one it was a fairly strong not likely, but that was quite some time ago, so we will ask again.
