  • Upgraded kita?

alright so the kita's fun to play in but it can't hold too big of a crew. Im proposing allowing the kita to hold more crew
or making a new remodel entirely at a higher lvl with higher damage torps and more space for crew.

Edit: Main idea is just to allow for more crew.

Another crew slot. Kita can carry only 7 sailors total. Even the previous remodel Kuma and Kuma-kai
can carry 8 sailors. This ship is level 52 and has the smallest number of sailor spots. It's one of maybe
2-3 CL classes that has this few sailor space and those are much lower in level. A UK DD has more slots,
and most DDs have the same. I think this could be addressed.
As a level 52 ship, and because Kuma has 8 slots, it should be increased to at least 8 as well but
displacement should stay at or about the same.

If you don't change the crew weight but you allow it to carry more sailors, all that does is either slow it down or you have to trim them and make each of the sailors more ineffcient.

As I remarked above, it doesn't matter what smaller ship it is (CA CL DD) or if you are using it as ASW or AA, there is an issue with having to trim your crew. I don't think its fair to talk about just one ship.

Move up, fire all torps, come about, fire all torps, then move back to reload, repeat. Deep, deep, gameplay there. This is like the AA ship for ppl that cant/wont learn2AA. How this ship escaped beta un-nerfed when they raped the Z99 like they did, i will never know, lol. (not hating, I dont mind kita the way they are, but buff them? cmon, now)

It's not completely skilless, but I will agree that it is probably the one that takes the least engagement from the operator to do it's job. For some people that is it's greatest appeal and those are the people that would benefit from a displacement boost or another remodel (hey it's already a second remodel so why not a third? LOL).

I personally know someone who likes to play this game during the workday but at any given time must be able to walk away from the game if customers come in the door. If he is playing his Kita then no one cares if he throws his torps and then crashes in to something from walking away (as long as he doesn't cross them in the process). Not true for any BBs or CVs. He would get tarred and feathered for such an offense.

This person has played the Kita line to level 103 and never touched an IJN BB. He also has a BB6 and CV6 from other nations, but the Kita is what he plays at work due to it's relative insignificance in a normal GB. If there was a higher level version of the Kita (say level 90 or higher) that split off from the BB line so that you could not level to it using BBs would it be feasible? I'm sure this isn't the only person to level a Kita this high without using BBs and it might be a neat reward to get something with maybe a bit higher displacement, maybe larger gun space (thinking usable space for triple 6's like the MOG CV for light AA duty or DD/FF defense), and a scout to stay useful for the main forces after the torps are dispatched. IJN already has plenty of variety for the torp set-up and I do not think anything new would be needed in that area.

So to sum up this suggestion:
-Level 90 or higher Kita-type ship that is not on the BB branch (requires commitment to this line or pay SDE for BO swap $$$$)
-Raised displacement to accommodate full level 100 crews without trimming (maybe 10,000t or so max?)
-3 front R-mounts with about 136 space each (same as Mogami 1944)
-165 aircraft loading capacity (same as non-CV Mogami)
-same T-mount configuration and options as current Kita

This would reward dedicated Kita [line] players with better options and variety at higher levels without significantly changing the long-range offensive dynamic of this ship. I'm guessing it would need to be a CA to return decent exp and keep in mind comparing the level of this ship versus it's classification is pointless as there is no other ship in the game which can be fairly compared to it. Not that I think this will ever happen, but at least I laid out a decent outline of what "seems" to be a good compromise for all parties.

Cheers.

It's not my suggestion to change the weight limit. I Just said it would be nice.
I was pointing out that for a remodel and as a level
50 ship, it's strange to only have a total of 7 sailor slots. What other ship loses a sailor slot further in the
tree even if its a remodel? I'm just asking that to be looked at. Trimming crew would need to be done but
I'm considering the crew around level 50 when someone is using it to level.
