In case anyone was wondering, they should change their passwords immediately.

There is a massive security hole in how accounts and emails are verified that I've been talking about for a week.

I have submitted a support ticket already, but it is a change that can't happen right away.

If you have given your account password out to anyone at all, change the password as soon as you read this.

Do not assume that having the trade password provides additional security!!!!!!!!!!!

The announcement stated that this website included increased security when, in fact, they've undone a few things and have completely opened up everyone to losing their account.

I have to agree with the don't share PW line. The downside for our fleet is, we have several fleet accounts for
newb players and those who want to try different ships While we are fairly picky with who is allowed into the fleet
+ new members aren't allowed on those accounts right away, we still feel a bit uneasy about the whole thing.

Yes, i dont get why trade passwords still exist if can change it even without knowing the old one ... I also dont get the reason of so many verification codes if with the 1st password u can virtually do anything.
For all inactive players that lend their account before leaving game (becausse they were sure about the aditional security of the email and 2nd pass) i guess they will be back in game in 1 or 2 months and the will find their accounts stolen and their crews sold time ago.

"You shared your pass, it was your fault" will tell TNFs to them ... I dont think those players will make a new account and keep playing NF. They will just leave the game.

Good to see mfischer is still LIGHT-YEARS ahead of $DE in identifying problems with their game/website/hosting.......

Not that it will do anything as they have ignored him for months before concerning lag/server issues that they have yet to update us on for MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THX FOR ALL THE STUFF NOBODY ASKED TO BE CHANGED AND IGNORING ALL THE STUFF WE DO WANT CHANGED.

How employees of $DE can look in the mirror and NOT see a hot steamy turd staring back is beyond me.

I think the intention is good, we are not supposed to share our account, but they have (or they must have) better ways to avoid the account sharing than reducing the account's security.
