One thing to note is that DD1s and 2 and 3 and hell even CLs are not supposed to fight against a BB1 (At least not using the BB1 rules and tactics, which are broadside firing with large damage and long range).
Small ships are supposed to take on larger ships by teamwork and using your advantages (Torps, High Angle warfare, UberSpeed, Small size, loads and loads of other yummy targets as distractions). So simply put: Just make HH bounce on ships, and new players please learn to play, otherwise you will suffer while on your BB1-2 in GBs
