Adding
4 Sea Plane Tenders (1 for each nation)
12 Seaplanes / Flying Boats (3 for each nation)
*For French/Italian/Russina see page 10

Role
Tenders - CL that handles flying boats, Dedicated scouting ship with defensive armament

Balance
KM - Largest capacity, slowest speed, poor armament
IJN - High speed, average armament
USN - Largest Displacement, slow speed, average armament
RN - Average all around

Aircraft - High level scouts with large radius of sight, ability to see submerged subs,
heavy armament, high attack
rating, anti - submarine duties. Are only carried by the Tenders, no other ship can use them.
Potential Armament
Depth Charges, Torpedoes, Level Bombs, Mines, Flares

Balance
KM - Average all around
IJN - Light armament, High Speed
USN - Slow speed, High Hit points
RN - Slow speed, Heaviest Armament

Now why would you want these you ask? Basically you get a scout with a very large
observation radius that is still capable of being taken out by AA and
fighters, they will be able to see far enough to stay out of range of AA guns (but may
still be in range of IJN, all depends on what SDE wants to do). Now the kicker to the
planes is the Tender will only really be able to carry 3 - 6 of them (IRL 2 was max, but
that is the number of planes it can carry, they serviced squardrons of them) and launch 1
at a time. That sounds useless but remember the Boats will be able to stay back with the
assumed fighter wall that should be there guarding the BB's and still see the enemy.
Basically it will be circling with your teams fighters so hopefully when enemy fighters
come, they will engage your teams fighters. I will add 3 Flying Boats for each nation
(consider them Tier 1 and Tier 2, Tier 3 but they are literally Tier 6, 7, 8 scouts) The
final boats not being available until very high. They are arranged according to armament,
not speed. They are in no way final so don't be suprised if i switch them out with
another, or change the order they are available.
Secondly the boats wont be available until lvl 70ish This gives you a reason to have a
high level scout. It would also keep the ships out of Blitzkrieg, since the scout would
(if used properly) be impossible to kill. Also the plane will be armed and capable of
intercepting everything other than Fighters.
The ships may also be obtainable at a lower lvl, say 30 or 40, and operate a large number
of standard recon aircraft, but it will only launch 1 on deck at a time (in theory it
could have as many in the air as it has support slots)

Hopefully these could even help with scouting problems. It is assumed that if you use this
ship, you intend to scout for your team as it is all you can really do. A CV (even a
Oyodo) with only scouts is usually flamed to death, these will be dedicated scout carriers
that don't take up a CV spot.

They will either be purchased like the CL 0.5's or as a premium ship for 1 or 2 dollars
max. (or whatever SDE decides, though I highly doubt people would pay much for them.

All aircraft are potential ASW. Either being able to spot submerged submarines, and
dropping depth charges. Able to see subs, and drop charges.

So here you go. Remeber, these are the histroical specifications, they will all carry more
aircraft in game, and may be a bit faster. Aircraft under "not shown" are ones that can
replace the ones I selected, only ones with a photo am I suggesting be put in!

Nice Idea. hopefully at lower levels (Eg Blitz levels) it might also help in the leveling
of a new CV Crew as you could have scouts on board for your team and either go into Blitz/GBs.

I wonder if those plane's cannons are ment for picking off enemy aircraft... If it is -
I'd love to see a scout shooting some sort of shell at some other one (It'd be like using
crappy Pom-Poms in scouts xD)

Hendo - Thank you, I really like the fact that so many people enjoy this idea, it at least
shows that if put in people will use them. (57 so far :D) If anything it will give a
break from the grind for a bit, they would actually be pretty fun if you knew how to AA.
And if the planes are given thier super guns, it would be kinda fun using it as a fighter
too.

Zim - Has been noted before but thanks none the less, they would proably be used a ASW to
give the ships more of a purpose

Kasa - It is appreciated but I feel the Viking is the best T3 aircraft. The 234 really
only has weight going for it, and no armamet. The way I chose planes was by speed and
armament, namely the higher lvl the more firepower and speed. As said before, with the
right pilot these planes can take on squads and win.

Other Peeps - I'm sorry the links keep breaking, most of them are linked to a website and
not a hosting site. Kindly remind me if one goes down and isn't fixed in a few days, I'm
a lazy person.

Maybe the Blohm & Voss BV 238 could be Tier 3-4 german fliying boat. Was the heaviest WWII
plane ( 100.000kg vs 60.000kg of B-29 ).

Tier 1: Do-18 / Do-24T / He-115
Tier 2: Blohm & Voss BV 138
Tier3: Blohm & Voss BV 222 / Blohm & Voss BV 238

I recommended the sea planes idea not just for scouting purposes, but I see their future
potential role as ASW aircrafts. If the submarines are eventually introduced into the game
the sea planes can also detect submarines and carry depth charges to attack them, other
than that hopefully they can lay mines as well.

once again, good idea, keep them coming..

u got my rec, and i agree with wat u said about using these to help bring up the scouts in
game, this will be invaluble =D

boydyma - EXP on these ships is up to SDE. Personally I would want it to be standard
shared exp +2000 - 4000 depending on what the standard lvl of crew would use it. Either
way, they wont be power lvl ships.
Another scout class would be very appreciated but just may not happen., if SDE wants to
add another they can, but the idea will work without them as well.
The aircraft secondary weapons can consist of mines of course, though with the current
system the may only drop one. If that is fixed, they would drop about 4 - 6 mines. Other
variations could be depth charges or aerial torpedoes.
As far as I know, aircraft were uncapable of laying down a smoke screen.
Thanks for the bump

glad/mjb/runes - Thanks

barrage - actually, a decent player with a good scout will make these into potent
fighters. Consider that the boats are heavily armed usually with trainable guns all over
the plane. This means that no matter what angle, they can fire on enemy planes. Circles
of non-death form because all planes in NF require to be facing thier target. The boats
can shoot at planes behind them or to the side, just another advantage to using them really.

MMM more fodder for my fighters to shoot down. I can always use the credits!

thats good theres more planes... if youlook in game info>shipyard>Aircraft (any
nation) you'll notice there only a few planes for a lot of lvls so there r a lot of blank
spots.

no it wouldnt, because BBs still have to carry scouts on board. This is a support ship
that can provide additional scouting.

also, we need to decide if an XP modifier on the scouting is needed, as these ships
will not get much, except the usual shared.
OR another acceptable method of XP gain.
otherwise we wont see much in the way of these ships as it will be a dead XP end.

id like to see a reclassification of rookie pilot to scout pilot to buff the stat increases
in between this new aircraft, which will have to be reclassified into a *seaplane
scout* or something of the like. levels will need to be discussed in depth.

also with these seaplanes, it might be nice to make these into *aerial minelayers*
allow them to load up say from two to six sea mines (the same one as a normal
scout can employ but there will be multiple amounts), depending on Tier level of the
seaplane.

or even employ smoke bombs to cover a friendly rush at the enemy. (same
deployment method as the sea mines idea as previously stated).

and well, thats some of my ideas for now. more to follow.... maybe ;)

oh yeah and BUMP.

still lots of steam in this thread Renko. ill make sure of it :P its a well thought out idea

*EDIT* and im sure to save programming space, the UK also used Cats so you could
bump the shetland out in favour of the Catalina.
