  • Why do you personally not come to test sessions?

Hey everyone. Just an open question.

We need people to help with battletesting and give their opinions on them during
test sessions. Obviously, if you couldn't make this weekends due to a one off event,
that isn't the point of the thread, its for those that don't attend whatsoever.

Is it because you would rather gain exp on the main server? (A valid point, if that is
your opinion, please tell us that).

Is it due to lack of rewards?

Is it due to the account system there, and having to class all the crew?

Is it due to technical issues?

Or, are you just not interested (again, a valid point)?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On top of that, not many people partake in the test server discussion board. What
are the reasons for that?

"If you didn't have to download a new client, and it was integrated into the current client,
and you could login and use your current crews, would you test?"

Yes, even if it was the test crews. Actually the test crews would be better since some of
us dont have nations that are being tested.

The thing is, there are two types of "tests":-

Confirmation Tests:-

These are the boring tests for range/damage setups etc. Have to be done, but doesn't
require many people.

Battle Tests:-

This is where it is actually fun. You are actually playing the game, just no Exp.

If you didn't have to download a new client, and it was integrated into the current client,
and you could login and use your current crews, would you test? If not, would you if a
reward was available?

I would say for me personally that I don't think I have enough experience with this game
to be involved in any sort of balancing process.

With regards to in-expirence:

You dont have to be the next richardphat, being there enables battles, battles enable the
ability to see what needs changing. You can leave the big desions to the people who know
better but they cant do it without bodies to be there.

Ps. Sorry i missed yesterdays lukas, i thought it was sunday not saturday >.<'

I will admit I totally forgot about it and agree an announcement that it was starting
would be a good idea.

I do have to say that one issue that has bothered me from the start was that when
I did make a suggestion based on what I still feel as a valid point I was told that I
didnt know enough about the game to know better.

So the suggestion I would make is if you want people to help treat them a bit nicer.

Personally, I enjoy taking what's in front of me, regardless of how messed up it
may be, and making a success out of it. Thus, balance issues doesn't concern or
affect me.

Moreover, I don't believe that things have to be a certain way, for it to be right.

When it comes to gaming, I'm more of a 'if life gives you lemons, make lemonade'
kind of person, rather than a 'change the world and make it a better place' type.

I don't seek perfection, nor do I yearn for better things, because I'm fine with what
there is now. To me, a game is meant to entertain, and as long as I'm entertained,
which I am now, I'm contented.

Overall, I simply don't feel that a better game balance would give me any more fun
than I'm already having now.

Persoanlly for me its

1. Been to busy finishing up high school and baseball to be arsed to get on there...

2. lack of reward...

I know that i want to help balence the game...but spending hours and hours doing
so with no reward or a very small one doesnt seem worth it....
