What is the reason that you get less Xp  when you using higher lvl crew then the ship you use?
I know its coded  that way but why?

Not necessarily.

I've gotten false info from under informed GMs and mods alike.

You do 100K Xp a battle in a Molke? Possible in a BB5 not in a Molke.

I just want the Xp I would get when using the ship at lvl or maybe slightly less.
If I use a +100 crew in a CL I get allmost no Xp at all.
Its not a big deal I just wonder why they codded it that way.
Also if you get no or less Xp drawbacks when using high lvl crew on a low lvl ship you will see more support ships.

You really ought to read his answer instead of saying the same thing again.

He did not anwer my question, I never asked for bb5 xp in a molke.

About encourage procressing to next ship:
Most ships need to have crew thats at least 10 lvls higher then the ship to get a decent peformence out off it. A at lvl BO dont see the shells land and if you do see them land youre lines are still to short.

His point was spot-on, you just missed it. The exp penalty is there to encourage players to use more than 1 ship as they progress in the game. Think of this example, how many people in PBBs would we see if they could get the same exp they would get at lvl 65 while being lvl 100? I know alot of players would just use PBBs all the way to 120. And thats just an example, the point is it sort of induces you into playing with the next ship in line and then the next and so on.

Why?

The support slot penalty is enough as it is.

I somewhat disagree with you.

Right now, its much less doable, but you used to get awesome off the chart XP with a kita. I wouldn't have wanted tons of SY around with no crew.

The penalty does kicks in a bit too soon (10 levels separate many ships, and I believe some ships are worthy of being skipped for a few level since they require higher level crew to correctly operate) but I wouldn't want to have someone grinding to 120 in a CL AAing.

The support slot DOES prevent leveling correctly a full BB6 crew and lessen the risk of totally idiotic BB6s around.

I also agree with masc that PBB leveling is easy enough as it is. But that said, I sadly do not see how the current xp penalty can prevent it tough. Got a lot of near 50-60k last weekend (or was it the one before? Too many events to remember), that finished the lvl 120 grind of some of my KM supports while I was leveling some MN sailors on my AD.

But the concept behind this I agree.

Lets say you are a pilot. You first learn on small Cessna's. Then you move on bigger machine, learn multi-engine, etc.

You CAN stay on the cessna all your life if you want. But your progression in your abilities would probably a lot slower.

Maybe on Km, but would you do the last 55 lvs or 38 till bb5 also in a B65 or even a Dunk? I know there Ebb2 and 3s but when using those that gives also difrent ships in Gb

PBBs suck.

I would definately Moltke alot of the way to 120 if given the opportunity though.

B65 with high level crew is very good, and dunkerque can be a nightmare, but the bigger picture still eludes you somehow...

Bull. In a PCA Mandel:

(All of these screenshots taken within the past month...got more I could post)

Crew with BO is level 95 and I will stay in the Mandel (mostly) till Alsace.
EXP in those screen shots was roughly between 28K and 45K.

I think what Whatzup means is to remove the the XP penalty for a higher level crew on a lower level ship.

Honestly, I'm in agreement with whatzup and ljsevern. The lower amount of support slots, xp potential, and all your advantages from a higher tier ship is nullified if you want to play in a lower level ship.

I have no problem seeing a person grinding to lv 120 using a PBB or a PCA...that person would be very good in those ships, since they both have much less supports than a BB5...

I'm torn. Don't you guys remember the players who only played pre-nerf PBB's because they couldn't do anything else? Don't you guys remember that spawning multiple generations of atrocious BB play?
