  • Why i'm discouraged of playing CV

Personally , i don't use my CV very much because untill you get t4 fighters, your fighters are crappy scouts which
on occasion, generate some creds, and your useless against high levels.
I don't think there is a practical solution encourage CV users that are too high for interceptors yet too low for T4's.

Let the flaming begin.

Not every cv player can buy ebve sailors (kids play this game also). if your T2 is shooting down T4 then A. the T4s are probably below 11/11 in stats ( i have seen 8/9 120s for sell in trade..). Yes you can drag T4 around which is boring, however put your T2 ebve up against t4 full bve 11/11 or 12/12 and bet you lose all your fps.

Only if the BB's have the ability to Aim. Most of the people with moronic opinions couldn't sink the cl fleet, much less win a Great Fail II.

Its not always about the ability to aim. Some Bbs think sailing in straight lines is the way to go and get sunk even when the enemy is blind. Some BBs think rushing even if they cant see is better then waiting for a better opportunity. Some BBs will stay behind their lines wasting OH or even worse yet cut off another BB without OHing only to get both players killed. Theres alot of common sense things that arnt done that show an unwillingness to even try.

As CV players I hate noob aa ships on my team the most! I usually avoid them at all cost!
Believe me I could not take of my fps when there were 3-4 aa ships shooting straight at me.

L and , to change altitudes

AA ships have limited range, they have to wait for planes to come to them

Fighters can go anywhere on the map, if they get shot down by AA then ask yourself, was it by mistake ? and if its on purpose, were you fighting enemy planes within an aa ships range ?

Now ask yourself

The enemy CV's planes are within your AA ships range, they are playing aggressively and scouting, are your fighters doing the same ? why are you interfering with your AA ships job ? you think those aa ships cant handle some fighters ? You think CV have priority and that those AA ships should not do anything all game whilst you steal their kills ?

CV's want to kill more planes for credits and XP, same goes for AA ships. Yet CV's can scout with their planes and help their team win, they can also intercept planes before they ever get into friendly AA range. SO, its logical that within AA range, your fighters are free game, if you want to take those credits from AA ships, you do so at your own risk, and if you cant be bothered to change alitude whilst flying past aa, then its your own fault if they get shot down by mistake.

If you really get stuck, aim for scouts and bombers. Ignore the complaints, at least the enemy will have a hard time seeing. Also try to find a path past the T4 fighters, not many CV's control T4 fighters to intercept any attempt to get round them. I find if I can't scout the south because of heavy AA or T4, I at least try to scout middle where it's easy to do so. Any sight is better than nothing.

Why do people think that IJN fighters are an auto-fail...

Never understood this. People said they were fail *BEFORE* the patch, and after going UK initially, i found that IJN fighters just frickin RAPED almost anything except US (because of the greater speed).

Almost every person I've spoken to who went UK first then IJN thinks the same...

I always fly low and change altitude to avoid being shot by AA ships. However, there are some AA ships who can not distinguish friendly planes from enemy ones! They will shoot at everything that flies pass them..

Yes sharing tips on cv playing is difficult via chat. For those who are willing, I give tutoriials in clan area. Seeing how it is done with accompanying explanation makes it easier for them to comprehend. But as others have said in this thread, alas there are some who cannot grasp the essence behind the cv tactics taught to them.

As others have said and in my old post, playing cv of any nation is viable. Know the weak points and the strenght of your nation. Then play as a team and not a joust between cv's showing who has the better plane/pilot.

If your team is blind, cv did not perform well or the opposing cv did his job well.

If the enemy is highlighted most of the time and you loose, bb on your side lacks experience.

For low level cv players you can still contribute to make your team win. I used a cv 1 with at level fighters and with tier 1 fighters scouted for my bb the whole game.

If the other team have good aa ships and good bb's with aa guns, then it is a challenge to your skills on how to manage your fighters scouting for your battleships. Whenever a situation arises look for the solution. Complaining makes you move backwards and not forward for self improvement.

If you get discouraged playing your cv, go watch the good cv players. They so inspire me with their skills.

Playing with T3 fighter planes is very discouraging. They don't have speed to match up T4,
and they have less fire power than locals.
