GB2 is a lot of fun, requires less players than GB1 and overall gives more exp...

Seriously we need some kind of balance between GB and GB2 as a balance between deathmatch and objective play.

only difference is flag..apart from that same crappy CVs and useless BBs for support. Hate playing with retards next to me..WOOT WOOT BB SELECT MODE ALL DAY MONDAY!! NOW THATS A MANS GAME!

I've said this needs to happen for atleast 3 years and I've seen other people say the exact same thing only to be completely ignored.. Sad really.





I feel this is the reason too... in the old forum I made a suggestion for same exp in all game modes.

Your thread title can be applied to every game mode other than the one that gives most exp in the end.

Some don't even take into account exp/hour factor... they are just interested in that final screenshot that tells you how much exp you received. Until that changes, playing for fun is left to just a group of friends or fleets.

not sure how much fun there is going into a battle where you know that you may or may not factor in the result even if you get 600k attack.

Crashing/Disconnecting/Braindead flagships.

Games based on teamplay lose their appeal if it all comes down to 1 player in the end, even more so if the system that determines this one player on each team sucks balls.

Ever play CTF in a game or anything? Kills do factor into who wins and who loses but are secondary to the objective.

Sure you can go on a killing spree but if you're on the wrong side of the map then you're worth nothing.

This is partly why people hate a certain popular FPS

Does said FPS have a leveling system? No.
Does said FPS have the same aim as GB2 game mode? Partially.

GB2 and CTFs are partially similar in that something has to be defended and something has to be taken / destroyed. However, in said FPS can a player fly over the enemy players and take / destroy the objective? No. Can a player go invisible and skip through the enemy team and take the objective? No.

- In a CTF game mode one set of players must fight their way through the other set of players to complete the objective of capturing a flag.

- In GB2 a sub can go through the line undetected and sink the objective, or a bomberwhore CV can borderhump their bombers and sink the objective; which happens 99.995% of the time.


A typical GB2 can end in either 2 minutes as opposing bomberwhores will bomb then counter-bomb the flags, or last the whole time limit. Both of which does not give good EXP per hour.

Which brings me back to what I said earlier about the community only caring about EXP gain, once EXP gain has been increased in GB2 to surpass GB1 your game mode will be back. However, your just a pointless person to have this conversation with as only GB2 would then be played and no other game mode will be touched. Which would still make this game stale.

You should be bitching about giving all game modes the same EXP gain, not your preferred game mode because you personally gain more EXP in that mode than GB1.

Well I do not know what FPS you are talking about at the minute. However as I've already mentioned the community here prefer the game mode that offers them the greatest EXP and since the community play a mixture of BBs, CVs, SSs, CAs and CLs (and not just CV bomberwhores) they will currently prefer GB1 due to its EXP gain over GB2.

Sorry but that is just a retarded example. that's like saying if your BB line pays no attention to an enemy BB cruising through their line then the objective can be destroyed. I'll ask again with a question that might clear your ears: CAN A PERSON BECOME INVISIBLE DUE TO GAME MECHANICS NOT INATTENTIVENESS LIKE A SUBMARINE PASSING THROUGH THE BATTLESHIP LINE IN SAID FPS?

I'll guess.. no?

I've explained the mindset of the community in this game, and tried to help you understand why only one game mode is played on this game at a time; which has reduced my interest because it is boring to play one game mode over and over and over again. But if your too ''WAAAAAHH! I WANT MY GAME MODE BACK WAAHHH!!''. Then congrats on failing on having a constructive discussion.

Finally, you've ignored the feasible action that could be taken to bring GB2 back into the spotlight which is giving GB1 and GB2 the same EXP gain per battle, which would give a good spread of game modes and make the game more enjoyable.

This thread may as well be locked since anyone giving valid reasons as to why GB2 or any other game mode is not played and counter-arguing the OP results in 'RAAAAAAAAAGGGGEEE!!!!' instead of a constructive discussion.

My post has done if you read after those two words, as well as previous posts that you've obviously ignored.

No point talking to someone about why only GB1s (or one game mode in general) is played when you only want GB2.. GL with your thread bud your gonna need it!
