  • Border Humping is not a problem in Navyfield.

As our CV was launching a wave of bombers and putting them onto the border, the enemy CV
was bringing his bombers OFF the border at the same time to bomb him.

Very nice summation of the level that NF is now at.

Please, tell me what you think?

"Only one problem they are not off the border as their shadows are clearly seen. This is
not a violation even under old rules. They are border hugging."

The plane sprites are not on the screen. In accordance to my event rules, bombers
doing this will result in a heavy penalty.

*if everyone else went north and you are the only one who went south, maybe you should have
gone north too.*

This is THE reason teams lose.

- If all CVs are north, there is no fighter cover south.
- Therefore scouts cannot be launched south as they'll be instantly shot down.
- Therefore the south BBs will retreat as they are completely blind.
- Therefore the south BBs die.
- Therefore the south is lost.

If your fleet were to do HA and done this, you will fail is every tile you play.

*EDIT*

Sad really that the majority of people on this server do not realize south it the better
flank. . .

*EDIT 2*

*I said: "The average IQ of most NF players drops by 50 points during an event."*

I'm sorry, but that isn't possible. . Their IQ would be a minus number. . .

pyro, you shame me by misquoting me X-P lol

I said: "The average IQ of most NF players drops by 50 points during an event."

Regardless, it doesn't even take an event to show that most CVs border hump their bombers
north or south (mainly north).

I completely agree with the others who said something along the lines of "If there's a
shadow, I'm shooting it regardless." If I can't see the plane to tell if it's friendly or
not, then there is no reason that anyone should get in trouble for AAing the planes even
if they are friendly...

Anyone who decides to take their whole team south or north I will gladly face and laugh
while I demolish them.

Concentrating firepower does nothing when you can't get all your firepower to bear on targets.

There's a South to North range advantage. If you're going to stack strongly on any
side, do it south where at least you get those few extra pixels.

@Pyrofiend,

if everyone else went north and you are the only one who went south, maybe you should have
gone north too. Keeping the team together is a great tactic that no one ever seems to do.
Why not concentrate your firepower? Especially if the other team does divide. You could
take your entire team north, wipe out the half-team up there while the other half is down
south. then take out the other half of their team at your leisure. So given that you
took one of your team's bb down south like the lone ranger himself, I'd have to say that
you were the one in the wrong and you should be the one apologizing to your team. The one
time an entire team thought tactically, and you wasted 1/20th of their firepower. What
right do you have to be upset about that?

"I AA any planes I see off the boarder."

If there is a shadow there, I am shooting it regardless.
