  • Exp Bonus for Successful Scouting

- For every ship in a plane or ships sight range, you gain X amount of exp per X
second(s)

Would require a big coding change, but imo would be a fantastic change to the game if
implemented.

An example would be, say 50 exp per ship every 10 seconds.

Obviously the exp amounts would have to be balanced, it would be far better than
slapping a rule in. If that means lowering general exp, and having this, then so be it.

Edit: Forgot the change about all types of planes.

Good Idea(I had the same basic idea) but it should be only for scout planes and you can
pick(Target) 1 ship and you get "let say" 5% of all damage done on that Ship only. Also
Sub should be able to do this as well(spot a Target) because subs are so slow many time
the sub will allow allied BB's to steal kills because you are spotting for them but not in
range to Torpedo.

I like the idea, but I'd rather see it be a stream of credits instead of XP. Credits
would encourage CL and CA players to join the scouting game without accelerating their
already meteoric rise to BB5 class ships.

But as an aside, wouldn't this create an entirely new class of AB games? Get 8 ppl into a
normal room and circle each other until every crewman on the ship levels up once. Repeat.

@ Falkon: The current problem is that people don't follow Step #2 of that thought
process - quite often, the team that scouts well still loses due to various other
factors (SS sinks the best BB player, Enemy CV bombs the flag, the team's BB's suck,
etc.). Thus, no one connects Scouting with More EXP, considering Scouting =
Winning is not automatically true. That's the issue with the way things work right
now. If we connect Scouting straight into More EXP, then the connection becomes
obvious enough (hopefully O_o)

@ LJ: It's usually easier for people to recognize that something isn't personal when
you -don't- say they are unworthy of adding to the discussion.

Not reccing either. The game modes/shared xp today offer too much xp as it is. You can
get your first BB5 in what? Six weeks? More xp would just kill the player skill lvl, which is
already low.

not recc.. whay? i wil enter whit cl,i wil not usee aa,asw but use 1 scout and pray sde to
give me 15-30k xp lechering.increse better asw reward xp no scout

I agree with exp for scouting, it will encourage people to scout much more than
some lame rule that requires they carry a pilot and a scout but does nothing to
make them launch said plane.

Your logic is flawed. Allow me to break it down for you:

- The reason you make this suggestion is because you feel not enough people are
carrying scouts
- A team that has scouts has a much higher percentage chance of victory
- Victory = more experience

and hence scouting = more experience. Go back to the first point and you will see
that people will not ALWAYS do what gives them the most experience.
