I thought expressing your political opinion on NF was the new thing so I decided to do it too. 255 people died to protect the Falklands. From all the people that served on the ships to the lads who made the final push to Stanley. They should not die in vain.

Whew! Thank you so much! I was getting tired of seeing all that "Malvinas ARG" bullcrap.

At this point the islands are too British to even fight over.  As we all have seen, the Brits are literally willing to defend them at all costs, so they're not going to give them up.  It is like a China-Taiwan sort of thing.  You can claim something all you want, doesn't mean it's yours.

Say I look over at my roomate's chair.  I claim it as my own, and constantly assert that, but never actually take it from him, does it make it mine?  No, it leaves me looking like a fool and without the chair.

Good thing most South Americans don't use the forums or you would have been flamed.

Easy solution if they want england, apply for england citizenship and problem solved. Most latin americans supports that folkland or malvinas should belong to Argentina. England wants folkland island to be as colony, but argentina wants malvina to be part of his Territory. Thats the difference.

Actually, no, England wants the Falklands  to be free to decide what they want. They want british citizenship, not argentinian. This may or may not have been swayed by a little invasion by Argentina in the 80's (fancy that, people who have their homes invaded don't want to become part of the invaders 'territory').

If that had not happened, there probably would have been an agreement put into place for dual-sovereignty or something , however, that was scuppered by the aforementioned invasion. I'd be suprised if anything was done now, as lets face it, they aren't gonna be given back diplomatically, and an armed conflict would result in no international backing.

These sort of threads need to die in a fire however, as they aren't gonna get resolved
