I have a question...
Now I play Iowa since 2 months, I have excelent engys/reps/etc etc.
My gunners:
lvl 94 BVE (160 vets) base 11/12 RLD classed.
I still have a bad spread, while the ability is OK, they are classed on time, no problems.
But when Shooting the shells go around everywhere...
Now I end up with 10k attack a game, and IF i hit something..... like 3-4 shells.
What do I have to do? buy 12/11 BVE overvetted??
Because If i shoot right up north/south/west/east They do pretty-well, but sometimes the spread is worse, other time its perfect.
But if im in battle & navigate, and fire (like firing North-west) my spread is terrible.
So how do those Montys all have a nice spread?

Absolutely nothing. You have both caps unless I'm very mistaken. Especially with 160 vets on them. So I'd take it its the regular spread of the iowa. Of course its not a block, but its overall better than yammy L1 and H39 at the same level. Infinitely better than Vanny too.

I bought them as RLD RLD RLD, and i never knew the classing would affect the spread.
Sometimes its perfect, sometimes its worse.
I have 160 vets on em, and base is 12/11 or 11/12, i think its 12/11.
Would adding vets affect the spread, because someone sayd Monty has a great spread, and on lvl 105 it would be perfect.

Monty 16" has worse spread when at the same lvl (the 18" is good, though).
So, if what aingeal wrote is true, it should come to the problem of YOU, not the ship or sailors.
(I recommend CA auto fcs II as I mentioned in other thread, if you can`t hit a thing enough.)
Seriously, you should wait till lv96~97 in BB3 or PBB, if you want to get good performance.

Why? 18"? They're double guns. And I would never take AUTO fcs, because it ruins XP and its for noobs. Why bb3/PBB?

Did you have as much trouble with your bb 3 spread? Did you go sodak, or NC? You don't have to drop back to lower tier, but if I was only doing 10k avg. I wouldn't want to take up a bb4 slot. Your gunners are 12/11

That is what I meant. 10k attack already ruined your exp well enough. PBB+autoFCS still does better exp. And 18" is a dual, but has better spread than 16" trip.

That is what I meant. PBB+autoFCS
does not help him learn manual, and most likely will hurt him in the long run... IMO.

Well, I had 120K attack last time, and now i keep hanging around 40K's.
People told me 'run and gun'.
Now my friend told me to put 4.0 belt on my Iowa.
I currently run 0.2 belt, and ~110 Bulge (23/39 Speed)
I have no PBB, Neither can I buy one. Its just that I get killed too fast before doing a nice amount of attack.
Most of the times this is because i have no sight, and if i scout it gets downed by AA/FP.
I tell CV's to scout, and they won't listen.
