I have a question...
Now I play Iowa since 2 months, I have excelent engys/reps/etc etc.
My gunners:
lvl 94 BVE (160 vets) base 11/12 RLD classed.
I still have a bad spread, while the ability is OK, they are classed on time, no problems. But when Shooting the shells go around everywhere...
Now I end up with 10k attack a game, and IF i hit something..... like 3-4 shells.
What do I have to do? buy 12/11 BVE overvetted??
Because If i shoot right up north/south/west/east They do pretty-well, but sometimes the spread is worse, other time its perfect. But if im in battle & navigate, and fire (like firing North-west) my spread is terrible.
So how do those Montys all have a nice spread?

this is why clueless players should not buy crew .. you get stuck with other people's mistakes ... first you need to understand how to ROLL crew and what stats to look for .. then you can understand what to buy

spread is not great, but you should be able to get at least 50k atk with the iowa. your gunners are not crap. just try to control the driving better and you'll do well
the MOST IMPORTANT crew on any ship is ... the KEYBOARD OPERATOR ..

If you trade them for ac/rd whatever combo you might make a profit or even be able to get higher lvl gunners.
Or have some cash left over for a monty engineer.
Might get 1 extra engy and 2 reps, Spread can do better now but its 'fine'.... for now. But if i trade em, They might be lower lvl than my BO which isnt good.

heaven forbid you actually have to spend time getting real-game experience while grinding your own crew this 'short-timer' attitude is likely why you are currently having so many 'little problems' due to a lack of practical experience there is a lot to be said for silver-grinding your own crews up from scratch ... as opposed to more-money-than-skills premium spd lvling and crew buying

Normally BVE'ed rld-rld-rld gunners should be fine around level 100. It's not smart to class them that way. But I'm pretty sure accuracy caps way before lvl 100 either way.
But doing only 10k attack would be bad in Iowa, even with un-capped gunners. I hope you exaggerated that to make your point.

duh ... duh-oh ... dur ... der ... derp ...... .... ........ that RLD-RLD-RLD ... has NO ROOM for ACC in that classing setup ... always go rld-acc-rld for reload and acc-rld-acc for accuracy ... you need to balance the growth a little by alternatly classing them you have uber RELOAD gunners that spam shells all over the place ....since you gave them no ACCURACY stats
Derp Derp Derp yourself. Check the quoted post where I'm actually calculating cap rather than pointlessly trolling, acting all knowing like you are, while you totally fail the Cap Knowledge test. Contrary to UK gunners also, USN rld gunners' acc doesnt get nerfed, so you get a growth still. http://www.opennavyfield.com/smf/index.php?topic=465.0;topicseen Check this thing out, and learn why you look stupid to any knowledgeable players

With your obvious failure at understanding caps, you are really saying that? I'm loling.

Heaven forbid you'd take time to read the following post : (would actually have saved you the shame. Derp Derp Derp) Btw you got another account? Because what I,m seeing is relatively a new player at Navy Field having more arrogance than most of the old timers, while he sank a big total of 19 BBs in his carreer. You were on Nelson weren't you?

OLD CAP
4706*lvl+1000000 (thats the number I think changed.) so 4706*94+1 000 000 = 1 442 364
HIS LOWEST GUNNER
DispAbility * (4V+E) * ctot/cmax =TAbility
(Ctot/Cmax if full = 1. I'm assuming its the case)
2222* (158*4+0*1)*1=TAbility
(assuming 158 vets and full rookie since I have no xpert amount, and can't be arse to calculate exactly how many crew total USN lvl 94 gunners hold then)
1404304= TAbility
You need 18 xpert to hit the old cap on this one.
Your other gunners gives:1486968
Gunner 1 Tability (158 vets) : 1404304+(E*2222) Gunner 2 TAbility (167 vets): 1486968 + (E*2226)
E=number of expert on each.
You can prolly finish the maths.
I'd need to go bother richardphat for the new values, I think he got them. But I'm 99,9% sure you are hitting that new cap.
So stop talking about the classing as crap, he hits his cap.
While I normally suggest going acc rld rld with USN, ALL gunners hit ALL caps. Safe the AA gunners that nobody uses. The issue has been identified already, the OP admits it and asked for ideas to get better. Respect that.

Then how do I get better, because I play for 2-4 years, like 1-2 years in a BB.
You have a point. But you asked what was wrong with your gunners. You didn't ask what you could do to make your BB play better implying it was the fault of the spread and not your play. With the level/vets on your gunners and general statistics, you should be asking for play help, not crew help.
He did once we proved nothing was wrong with the gunners. Also with the new wtf xp we get, and the amount of events, crap BB count at BB4-5 level are being quite frequent. Leveling KM on nelson, I scored 1500 BB kills on 2 BOs to BB5, and with no false modesty, I'm above average (call me arrogant, I don't care much) So average, with a single BO get way less values than they used too. Don't get me wrong, I also think rick needs to work on his play, and he says so himself. But watch out using ranking to judge a new players, xp went to wtf rooftops in the past few years compared to before.
