  • Why many CVs refuse to Scout.

1. This is the biggest reason for me, and a very common reason for other CVs I have spoken to. "PURE SPITE" .  yes that's right.  Because even when I did do it, there's always 1 or 2 BBs calling us "Noobs" and much less savory things because  there's still no vision or air-cover because my low level non wallet warriored fighters are burning wreckage for my efforts.

So out of "SPITE",  I refuse to scout at all when my own team starts hurling insults.  I really don't care if we loose and I die at this point.  Just as long as all the abnoctious kids go down with me. And its not just that game either.  I carry a grudge and continue to do it for several games, even all night because of little unsupervised children who cant keep there mouths shut.

At this point your best bet is to use your own scouts and push forward to visual range, because I really don't care if we all get slaughtered.  I'm just going to keep border humping and pushing bombers.

But amazingly, It only takes ONE polite request to get me to change my mind.  When I hear requests for CV support that DONT include the word "Noob"  or other profanity,  I start pushing fighters and attempting to cover the blind spots. Even tho I'm likely throwing planes against level 120 wallet warriors flying Boosted max vetted elite Wonder fighters, or  Heavy cruisers armed with  nothing but massively overpowered AA weapons that vaporize my guys in seconds.  a severe game imbalance IMO.

So next time, Certain people should try not acting like over indulged twelve year olds,  and perhaps you will see more fighter cover or scouting.

If I get sunk by a BB that I can see moving into range, shooting and then sinking my ship; that is all my fault.

If I get sunk by something I can't see move into range, fire and then sinking my ship; that is the CVs fault.

If I rush in to hit a ship but then it all goes dark and I get nuked falling back; I am only taking half the blame.

We people do this, I just retreat.

You can't be bothered, I can't be bothered. See how mighty your bombers are when they are the only thing stopping you from being rushed.

I would like to win. If CVs don't want to win, that's fine. However, I am going to question why you play if you don't want to win.

Also, I shouldn't have to ask for fighter support. CVs don't ask me to go kill enemy BBs.

Keeping in mind what he said about the struggle between low and high, boosted and unboosted fighters, many BB players do need to deal with and play accordingly to the team makeup. I see far too many BBs mad at the ryujo or bogues that are being T4 camped and/or simply don't even have Ftrs loaded. And many times those BBs are north, because they can't hack it south. The BBs OH into blindness, get sunk, and then cry.

BB scouts load faster than CV FTRs
If its still pitch black when my ftrs get to the enemy a majority of the time its because BBs havent even sent scouts or managed them. A BB sending out a scout into the middle of the enemy at max alt. is not scouting.

Again, play according to team makeup.

I can't count how many times I've been cving and had enemy BBs firing on me within 1 minute because too many BBs only thinking of themselves and not the team. "BB5 N?" They want to scavenge off the BB6 south, or get a shot in on the enemy BB6 and not actually trying to match up and balance before the start.

And for crying out loud, for some of you all the vision in the world isn't going to help your aiming and timing. And learn to tell when the enemy is blind. Too many BBs going around in circles doing nothing because they can't tell where or when the enemy is blind.

Oh, and we constantly have to ask BBs to shoot AA. Just yesterday my T3s were south up against a pcv boatload of T4s, 3 Moltkes, a Mandel and 2 Emdens, all of them coming into our BB range. Nothing. No help. but because it did get patchy at times i did get some "Vision!"'s from the same BBs who lack the common sense or "vision" to see what the problem is.

I thought I was pretty clear that my post is pretty much referring to just me.

"zomg both sides are bad, so CVs shouldn't get yelled at" seems like a pointless comment.

QFT

And if you cant kill enemy fighters find a way to lure them away so that I can launch my scouts. Don't cry "waaaah I can't take on those higher level fighters" and whatnot. I know! When driving a BB4 I can't take on a BB6 either unless he doesn't see me. But I can try to do something, like distract him or even only scout him, so that my team has a chance. And so can you. Your job as a CV is to own the sky. If you're outgunned try to outsmart the enemy.

Don't be mad if you're blamed for your mistakes.

when i play my BB i dont need a cv to scout for me, but then again im primarly a cv player, so i know how to manage my 1 plane.
seems funny BB's crying to someone to manage many planes cause they can not manage 1.

Shinda_Niku, so you pretty much take your ball and go home. Very mature.

I suggest you try to play a game that you actually enjoy, and doesnt make you a raging ball of spite. Might do good for your quality of life. Also remember, some NF players are annoying 14 year olds. Some or not. You will not change either.

Really overpowered AA that vaporize your guys in few seconds?
It sounds more like common CV players leaving fighters at default and then complaining how AA in overall are overpowered.

That's quite true too. But heh, i love shooting down for 10k creds in my AA pensa!! Thanks to the folks who leave those tasty fighters at the default height, it helps so much!

I get yelled at for not scouting so I scout. Then I get yelled at by a BB because he just got bombed.

Or on the other hand I try scouting and for one wave of bombers the whole CV crew gets yelled at.
