  • Why many CVs refuse to Scout.

1. This is the biggest reason for me, and a very common reason for other CVs I have spoken to. "PURE SPITE" .  yes that's right.  Because even when I did do it, there's always 1 or 2 BBs calling us "Noobs" and much less savory things because  there's still no vision or air-cover because my low level non wallet warriored fighters are burning wreckage for my efforts.

So out of "SPITE",  I refuse to scout at all when my own team starts hurling insults.  I really don't care if we loose and I die at this point.  Just as long as all the abnoctious kids go down with me. And its not just that game either.  I carry a grudge and continue to do it for several games, even all night because of little unsupervised children who cant keep there mouths shut.

At this point your best bet is to use your own scouts and push forward to visual range, because I really don't care if we all get slaughtered.  I'm just going to keep border humping and pushing bombers.

But amazingly, It only takes ONE polite request to get me to change my mind.  When I hear requests for CV support that DONT include the word "Noob"  or other profanity,  I start pushing fighters and attempting to cover the blind spots. Even tho I'm likely throwing planes against level 120 wallet warriors flying Boosted max vetted elite Wonder fighters, or  Heavy cruisers armed with  nothing but massively overpowered AA weapons that vaporize my guys in seconds.  a severe game imbalance IMO.

So next time, Certain people should try not acting like over indulged twelve year olds,  and perhaps you will see more fighter cover or scouting.

Because in GB's, CV's are primarily in competition over who can get nine bombers up on one pilot and beach themselves on the north rocks the quickest.

WHY THE HELL IS THIS STILL UNLOCKED?

Because we need to give you a topic to troll?

You wish my replies were inaccurate.

I try to keep my fighters and bombers over the enemies ships so that the Nelson and noobs that don't have a scout on their BB can see! Now its not worth it as I have 1 lvl101 Fighter my other Fighter is only a 96 and I cant change to the Mustang until the lower level pilot is over 100, in the mean time I can't fight with the lower level pilot as I cant load 2 different type fighter planes, just imagine the out come of WW2 if our Carriers were only able to use only 1 type Fighter plane!

I run the Malta with T4s and if there is absolutely no chance of me launching bombers; I'll use my 5.25" A guns to cut a hole in the camping fighters. I can't get them all, but I can get my planes out before the fighters regroup.

On the "why the hell is this still unlocked?" comment, check back a few pages. One of your buddies came through here and pruned the deadwood.

Cheers

Holy Cow. Now there's something you don't see at all anymore. A CV using his R slots for something other then Hedgehogging. It used to be the way to play 3 or 4 years ago, AA'ing CV's. Not sure why it's gone so much out of fashion of late, especially with KM, US, and IJN CV's. RN/MN I can understand, not sure about SN's, but on those others AA'ing is something those nations do really well. Yeah, I know, folks put repairmen/restorers/engineman on those R crew slots, BAH, seems a waste of a useful slot. Hedgehogs are nice, sure, but with the Self-TKing thing "fixed" making DC's usable again, I'm betting the need diminishes. Some AA CV's with heavy HE in the other bind slot would be nice to see again. Been a while.

Because if a CV is using AA or R slots, then they aren't controlling planes. You should ALWAYS be controlling planes.

You should point out the sarcasm

I use the LHE on the 5.25" A guns. Beats the hell out of charging surfaced subs. I make them dive then drop a load of tbs on them. Also, the reload of 120 bve gunners doesn't hurt either.

I use AA when the planes are still loading. If I'm camped, what use are DBs/TBs against fighters?
