  • Issue over KM Range Nerf... (and other issues?)

We all know KM has had it's range (possibly) nerfed from what it used to be. There
are those who think KM's range has been nerfed too much, and there are those that
think it's fine how it is. But all KM really seems to have going for it IS its range, and
maybe its speed (or atleast it used to have speed; i cant personally say anything
about the speed, since i havent really payed much attention to the speed compared
to other nations.)

So it's my suggestion for KM's range to be bumbed up a bit, becuase KM does
have the worst shell damage and spread, and all it has is its range. EDIT: IM more
towards other edits listed below, over the range, and either one of the fixes can
solve the possible issues.

BUT I CANNOT fully stand behind this, since I only have an H39 and have had the
H44 rental. But in the time i had the H44 rental, i noticed the range wasnt as good...
you should be able to out range a L2, monthy, or SY and not have them be able to
be in range with just a small movement up, OR barely moving at all.

SO, please give reasons and examples for WHY or WHY NOT KM's range is too
nerfed, and if you think KM's range needs to be bumped up a bit, reccomend it.

*side note: since i can't fully argue this point, there is no reason to flame, say
anything negative, or anything like that to me. Just give your reasons and examples
for or against the KM range nerf, and (if needed) argue your point's amongst the
others.*
*another side note: i have been more swaded to the turnning force, shell
damage/ shell damage inconsistancies being fixed, or speed being adjusted. If any
of those are adjusted, the range shouldn't be an issue. I will just keep the origional
idea for others.*

EDIT:
From what i have read, it seems to be a 50/50 split over the range issue compared
to the other nations. Some have quoted the skill needed to run KM, which is a valid
point. Km is harder to suceed in, and that could be the part of the issue. While
others have quoted how when facing another BB5 in an H44, they can be hit easily.
Which is another good point, if KM is supposed to have the best range, why doesn't
the H44 match up with that standard?

*The topic of shell damage has come up, which can be possibly
bumped up, or atleast discussed.

*The Topic of ship turnning force come up aswell, this can be discussed and possibly
changed aswell.

*The idea of increasing speed instead has been tossed arround aswell.

Range issue has been well covered. Try moving on to the other issues... like the
inconsistancies in the shell damage, turnning force, and possibly other issues?

KM was never meant to be good in GB anyways... so expect for H44 to be hardly
useable in GB environment, and that, you should blame the player base supporting
shared xp.

If KM just had the range advantage they are suppose to have, they would be a
Nation that could compete with the others... even if thats the only thing SDE was to
fix (leave speed, SD, spread, and squishiness alone) it would make the nation
actually fun to play again. At least then you could avoid getting into range of other
nations and getting 1 shotted in your BB4/5.

h44 is the weakest bb5

compare with all bb5, h44 have
1) big size
2) unsignificance range adv, which only appear for every millions fire
3) low damage
4) 39knot, not bad speed (but i fund some L2 and monty run with 40, SY.....)

besides, h44 have no characteristic
SY: fastest bb5 which can run with 42 knot
monty: terrible dmg
L2: hardest ship
H44: ?

actually , i use km before
h44 is my first bb5
but i give up it already because i find it is uncompetitive to other bb5
it is no doubt that km have the best bb2-4
you can earn many with them, but not h44
i recommend you to change other nation as soon as possible

I will rec. this, however:

We all know SDE doesnt give a crap what players think and more than likely dont
read these posts anyway. So this will be a waste of my time... but...

KM was my 2nd choice of nation. My first was US, played them until Tennessee and
quit because KM had the range, and I loved that idea. So I spent my time lvling a
really good (either +12 or +13 for all crew) crew. I went the Scharnhorst line and
was fairly happy with the spread, but found the range to be majorily lacking. Our
Turning force is not as high as is should be, our shell damage is aweful, and range
needs to be raised to more than half a millimeter more than other nations of same
level BB. The Bismarck I found to be a fun ship, but again, it cant take a hit, range is
BARELY (if at all) more than other BBs its lvl, and its shell dmg is miserable. I was
really looking forward to the H39 and was very disappointed in her, too. She is too
large, turns too slow, speed is really lacking, cant take a hit, the spread isnt that
great (even with elite acc gunners b/v/e to max), and its range is the same as other
BB4. All in all, I dont see where any of the KM BBs have ANY advantage over others
BBs of thier lvl. KM is probably the hardest nation to play, fewest rewards to
enjoying them (because they are so nerfed), and really cant stand toe to toe with
any other ships of same class and lvl.

My biggest issue, obviously, is the range. Since that has been covered fairly well, I
will go to my next issue, which is shell damage. I have noticed alot of problems with
this. Sometimes I will land a nice shot onto a BB and my shells do 100 dmg each.
ther times I land a similar shot on a similar ship and either one shot them or damn
close to it. Dont say its because of thier SD or crew or whatnot. If this only
happened a few times every 5 or 10 games it wouldnt be that big a deal, but this
happens all game every game. Another example would be hitting a ship with my first
salvo and getting 10-15k attack. Then firing a second salvo and, getting about as
many shell hits, and only getting 1k attack. it makes no sense at all, the 2nd shot
should have done much more because the first shot dropped thier SD to damn near
0, so the 2nd shot wouldnt of had the SD to deal with.

My next issue would be the speed. I run 4 engies, lvl 90-92 b/v/e (3) +12 and (1)
+13 and I can only get my H39 to top out around 38 knots. I have played a friends
account that has an Iowa and a L1 and Vanguard and he runs 3-4 engies on each
and lvl 88-94 b/v/e. (Not sure the base, sorry). Iowa runs at 40 knots, Vanguard 39,
and L1 41 knots. The L1 he uses 4 engies, the on others he uses 3. Im not sure why
or how, but I cant get the OH to go over 38 knots. I thought about dropping a Rep,
but that would only leave me with 1. On his BB4 he uses 3-4 Rep. So that puts my
H39 at a major disadvantage there, too. So I think speed needs to be fixed, or at
least balanced.

Lastly, the toughness of the KM ships. My crew is lvl 90-93 and I have a SD of
750ish... all other nations can max SD at or around lvl 80 (My UK had is maxxed at
like lvl 65). Yet, here we sit with lvl 90 crew and our SD isnt maxxed yet. (Unless we
use restores, which almost nobody else with other nations use, putting us at an
even further disadvantage with either, repairing rate, speed, or AAing - we would
have to remove one of those sailors to add a restore). Im not saying we SHOULD
have ships that can take a wooping, like the L1, but with all the other problems
listed with KM, this is a serious issue due to us not having the speed to keep others
at range NOR the range to hit other players before they hit you. Not being able to
take a hit is our biggest issue since we dont have speed or range, so I think fixing
this would fix solve some, if not, all of our problems.

I really do hope that SDE will fix these issues, but I know they never will. KM has
had these problems for years now and SDE doesnt do crap except to buff UK and
add more content and cause more problems before they face the more current
problems that have been here for years.

haha... yeah i gave up on this tread awhile ago myself... not much that's left in it
actually applies to what i think anymore lol. I really only think now that the H44 can
use some turning force or something... hell idk anymore... its not really an issue for
me anymore lol.

Ps: ive knowticed ALOT in my km ships that the spread of the other nations same tier
battleships can make up for the range "advantage" with km
