Peoples mistakes can sometimes hide overpowerness of a ship class.
Mistakes can sometimes cost your ship and game, true, but only against way higher level ships. Mistakes shouldn't cost your game right away unless you make a mistake against a ship 2 or 3 tiers higher... you should have the chance to recognize your mistake and try to fix it in order to learn. This is also true in the ASW vs SS business... if you make a mistake against an ASW lvl12, you shouldn't be blown to pieces. That is why both SS and ASW need balance and this is somewhat the point some people make about level based game.
There are many points both for SS and for BB which are indicators of an imbalance.
For example:
- If I BB, am aware of were you are, I see your torps and I dodge them with a lot of space... is it fair to be blown to pieces by the splash?
- On the other hand... If I'm in my sub, I approach silently avoiding all sonar, get in position and fire... is it fair that my torps miss because of a dud torp?
I'm a believer that both of those "Features" should go away.
And as we have those examples, we have a lot more:
- Running out of air just when I reached the BB line...
- Or spotting a SS surfacing, point my guns at him only to see him go underwater again with almost half the air tank before I could fire a shot.
- Or spotting HH land right next to me, pressing the crit dive button right before they land in the water... only to see my sub blown to pieces before the dive process is complete.
There are a lot of things to work on so that both SS and ASW can fit correctly in the game, and as you can all see... its not everything about nerfing... it is a mix. That is why the test server is here also, so we can all participate in this process.
