i think just about every player in Navyfield is getting tired of getting killed by Hedgehogs........When theyre in a Surface Ship.
i Believe Hedgehogs should be nerfed so that heir damage to ships on the surface is  next to nothing (10 dmg  / HH)
And that Hedgehogs should be banned from Blitz..... Hedgehogs are Anti Sub weapons.
so obviously there is no need for them in a Game type that doesnt have Subs.

I'm sure im not the only one getting a little tired of Hedgehogs, I just wanted to try and get the Ball rolling on the topic
feel free to post any more ideas on the matter.

HH need to change. Just a minor change - maybe a new paint job.

As an SS player they are a medium-threat weapon. I have defensive counter-measures at my disposal, but cannot employ them all the time and get clobbered. Since I can't determine whether the HH is a PHH, it really doesn't matter. As for their explosive content underwater, they are a lot less than depth charges, but if closely clustered work a lot better. From the SS perspective, they are a lazy solution to ASW.

As a CV player, I use them regularly to defend myself. I consider a sub the most significant threat to a CV. As for enemy BBs, once you are in their range...game over. There is little to defend yourself from an approaching BB while in a CV, not when 11-plane torpedo bomber squadron barely dents a bulged up BB5. However, the SS is a feared enemy ship and commands respect by CV players.

As a BB player, I can easily hunt and destroy enemy subs at will, with armor and impunity, aided with speed and one-shot obliteration capability. My reload gunner sitting in a rear slot can pump a 3-set of HH on gradual every few seconds, terrorizing any SS. Tactical playing style is the best defense. Knowing where the enemy is, regardless of whether you can see them is the secret. What I can't understand is why anyone in a BB would be afraid of a sub. They are slow and if you just stay out of their torpedo range, they can't get you. With the current setup, SS just run out of air in a couple of minutes and ...KABOOM. SS gone. If you want to get rid of him earlier, then just pound him with HH. Most SS are gone from the game in less than 5 minutes.

I am not against HH or PHH in general. I think this game needs an ASW weapon for the big ships, albeit difficult without a sonar-equipped escort nearby. However, the impact on surface ships is equivalent to a cluster bomb of tremendous power and has the range of 40 degree 6" guns and that needs prompt attention.

What does this mean?... that we have to find the correct mix of buffs and nerfs so we can find it's rightful place in NFNA. In some aspects, SS are overpowered and in some others way underpowered... that is the main reason people skip SS1 and SS2, the current characteristics make them useless.

I completely agree. The SD cap needs to be increased, along with reducing the amount of XP awarded per attack. It is silly how quickly ships die in this game. Increase the SD cap to 1500 or something.

I think it's too late in the game's life to do that. There are a lot of people that have invested effort, time and money in lvl120 Crews considering the SD Cap. If you increase it, some very competitive crews right now might not reach the cap.

There are other variables that might be easier to change and that don't involve crew building.

hey guys here is a idea that most people need to hear..

1)
try 1.7-1.8 blet and 255 bulge and then when a IJN hei type shoots you and 4 of his 8 torps fail as you laugh at him and Fire HH to own it!

2)
Also i like the idea to up the SD cap ; however SDE should either make it max of 1000 or give you the Option to trade a Rep or Engine For any crew of 100+ and match the stats of the trade sailor and make the SD Cap No more then 2000... The only nation i might see that would have a hard time with reaching the SD cap is KM So we might need to adjust to that.

Just like they considered the fact that nearly everyone leveled up a second pair of gunners for the US and UK crews due to their AA guns sucking, and their AA gunners sucking more when they "fixed" the UK/US AA. Oh wait....
