This is to be used only to suggest changes.

There have been many, many, omg MANY Sub suggestion threads and topics, so here is the idea.

You guys all pick some of the concepts, ideas buffs nerfs etc from all the other threads
and add them here.

While you are welcome to discuss why a change would or would not work, keep it to a
logical and clear discussion.

No - "you are only a BB whinner"
No - "You are bias sub driver" in fact any insults will have their post hidden

Make your point - Make it clearly, make it once - anything else will be thermonuked as
will all other sub threads from here on in really.

Tell SDE what you want to see from Subs and sub play with BB play etc for the future

I'll keep checking in and see what you guys have come up with, there is some brilliant
ideas I have read thus far and look forward to them all in one thread and see where it
progresses, hopefully to a positive conclusion where, at least most of the community will
be happy with the changes (if any)

Im confused when has anyone said buff planesmen and underwater repair except
for jimmy in another thread I would ask if yuno and the devs are even playing the
same game but then I remember that NFKR is a completly different than NFNA and
theyve proved that they dont know a thing about ours multiple times.

I have to ask, why even bother having this thread when it's obvious that the developers
didn't even bother to pay attention to it?

its might all be said what ill write here, but oh well i dont want to read over 10 page of
sub suggestion to know if my stuff is already suggested :P

here what player whine about SS :

1. they are underwater too long
2. they are too resistant ( been fixed )
3. they are way to OP ( torp )
4. the splash DMg is rediculous
5. the splash radius is way too large

so here what i had in head

1. Add a battery ( but keep the air aswell! ), i seen that already but i would add stat
to that,

ill use the SS4 as exemple :
to my guess ( i havent calcualted ) the SS4 average underwater time is like what 4 minute?
( correct me if im wrong ) so let say a battery at max capicity would last 8 minute here
the stat about it:

slow speed : last 10 minute
medium speed : last 8 minute
fast speed : last 4.5 minute
OH speed : burn to 30 second

and i said keep the air, but would last longer than now so the air tank would be like 7
minute b4 depletition so exemple:

slow speed battery last 10 minute at slow speed but air would last like only 8 minute so
youl still have to surface to remlish your air for a fresh one

at medium speed its air or battery will make you surface depend on which one will deplete
first, yet can depend on nation, i think its should have a difference here

at fast speed, well the air would stay high, but the battery will deplete

and go on

2. already been fixed by making the sub taking more dmg vs HE

3. why people whine that the Sub torp is OP? i know that nf =/= real life but yet in real
life a ship taking only 3 torp could sink, in NF you can resist 10+ so be lucky you can
resist more than real life no? otherwise, its called bulge ;)

4. yes teh splash dmg is way to high to really do dmg so what i would suggest here is make
the splash dmg only do 25% of the torp dmg value

5. here again its way too large even you are far from a torp exploding and you still get
dmg and much dmg ( see point 4 ) so the radius schould be restraint in the torp exploding
animation, no more.

well its was what i think about the SS balance

Again sorry if this has been said but 250 pages is too much to read (a summary page would
be good).

Makes subs more powerful.... but give much fewer torps (only 2 per tube maybe), or less
powerful with more torps. Also increase the rld time for power torps and shorten for lower
power. This would give the game more options. It would also mean smaller ships are less
likely to get pwned by ss as they are not going to waste high powered torps on little ships.

Slow SS down but allow them to take off tubes to go faster, no one would complain if a 1
or 2 tube ss can go fast as it hasn't got the power of a 7 tube, again this gives more
options like SW ships.

could go on but it is going to get lost in the hundreds of pages so that will do for now.

if you whan't more AIR you need a SPEED CAP, and it was allready explained how
this 2 things wouled NOT negetate each other..and I'm not explaining it agein.

I'd guess this has been said already but if you want to reduce speed in favor of air time
then subs will spend all their time crawling across the battlefield just in time to make a
paltry impact on a team that has already won or to do nothing at all to a team that has
lost. Staying under water at 15 knots is not much use when BBs are zooming along at 30
knots all the time.


Simple solution is to give more air time for SS and to reduce active sonar range with
overheat for ALL sonar ships. A fast SS zooming along and banging away with active sonar
will hit it's target before the ping bounces back.

FIX: Give Subs an active and passive sonar option that switches at a speed proportional to
level of SS and Cew. Mark this point on the speedometer. So, SS will lose ability to
detect enemy SS at long range as they speed up. Increase sonar range when an SS is
stationary but (very)marginally reduce acceleration.

This will encourage more tactical play and teamwork for both SS and ASW players. Consider
what an AA ship does; an ASW ship should do the same thing right? Likewise an SS should
push an attack or hold a line as a BB does. More wolfpack less charge-and-hope

Not gonna Read through all 5k pages of suggestions to see if someone has offered this
yet... BUT... with the nerf to subs adding some air time would be great..

My main Idea with the Added air and adding this new feature... Running Silent...

How this would work is if a sub is submeraged and is only going 1/4 or maybe 1/3
speed then FF/DD/CL/CV won't see them unless they are within say a US half-dollar coin
size distance.. nearly right on them

And on the flip side of idea is if the FF/DD/CL/CV has engine off at 0 knots it could
negate this or widen the Sonar range.. which would mean it is aggressively pinging and
listening without engine noise

humberto thats not bad however if you are going to lower dmg that much then the
effectiveness of bulge should be lowered

PS your just saying the lvl thing cause your ss is already like lvl 115 and you could care
less about the lower lvls
