This is to be used only to suggest changes.

There have been many, many, omg MANY Sub suggestion threads and topics, so here is the idea.

You guys all pick some of the concepts, ideas buffs nerfs etc from all the other threads
and add them here.

While you are welcome to discuss why a change would or would not work, keep it to a
logical and clear discussion.

No - "you are only a BB whinner"
No - "You are bias sub driver" in fact any insults will have their post hidden

Make your point - Make it clearly, make it once - anything else will be thermonuked as
will all other sub threads from here on in really.

Tell SDE what you want to see from Subs and sub play with BB play etc for the future

I'll keep checking in and see what you guys have come up with, there is some brilliant
ideas I have read thus far and look forward to them all in one thread and see where it
progresses, hopefully to a positive conclusion where, at least most of the community will
be happy with the changes (if any)

Yes but at the same time you can't keep the firepower the SS has if that is implemented .
Just today i got crippled by only 4 torp hits from a SS2 . Now i dont have 255
bulge(couldnt use so much even if i wanted to...) , but i do wear some . Sure that was
maybe a lucky SS2 but the firepower is just insane . (now the firepower alone isn't that
bad but lets not forget Submerged subs have a certain invisibility , there aren't an
infinite amount of ships capable of detecting them , and crit dive also helps).

And by always suggesting only loads of SS buffs you ain't doing the SS cause any favor.

All the baiting and inflammatory rhetoric aside, I do not want an invulnerable POW
(whatever that is)

What I want is the SS to be able to engage and disengage like every other ship line.

Right now you are seen and you are dead.

Wut. I just said SDE was too lazy to fully fix Subs. That doesn't mean more nerfs. I'm in
favor of both some nerfs and buffs for SS's in order to become balanced. Hell i'll even
throw it in again:

Nerf ASW:
DC damage reduced by 10-15%
HH damage reduced by 30-50%
HH cost reduced to 100 creds .
Prem HH reload time increased to 45 secs
Increased reward for ASW'ing (maybe give ASW ships some extra creds , just like AA ships
get creds for shooting down planes)

SS submerge time increase:
SS1: 40-50%
SS2:20-30%
SS3:15-25%
SS4:10-15%

SS torp damage reduction by 20%

As you can see i don't want SS's to be totally useless but simply being less of a : "HI!"
"BYE!" kinda ship. The nerfed ASW's and increased submerge time would increase its
survivability while the reduction of torp effectiveness will take away it's "i can own a
BB6 in
15 secs" power.
And of course this is still kinda raw. But its best to tweak some things, than see how it
goes and than adjust some numbers or even other tweaks. (if you want everything to be
changed at once, god knows how much SDE will mess it up or what the result would be)

The community said SS needed a nerf.

SDE said there would be discussion on further balance after the patch.

QQ about it all you want, but that's the way it is. The community wants balanced sub
gameplay. You want an invisible, almost invulnerable POW. Sorry, but the community
wins.

every ASW got 2 aim buffs and 2 HH buffs

and you all say SS got what they deserved and SDE is not done yet.

HH were planned to be released from the beginning. They were just behind
schedule, because submarines were rushed into the game.

Nobody ever asked for HH buffs. That was SDE's way of "Balancing" the release of
SS3 and SS4. Just like they buffed DCs when they released SS2s. Their "Balance" for
submarines was to increase the scale in power of the counter weapon with the
release of each tier..which is incredibly stupid..

Nobody asked for sonar on CVs. That was SDE's doing. Why they did it is still in
question today, as most CV drivers will straight up tell you they have absolutely no
use for it. I'd rather fill my support slots with sailors that I can actually use.

Nobody asked for the auto aim buffs. That was all SDE's doing. In fact, the vast
majority of the community said it was a stupid idea, and they did it anyway. The 2nd
Auto Aim buff didn't even effect BBs. Just FF, DD, CL and CA.

There was no HE nerf. They removed SD from submarines. That was their fix.

And that's exactly why I said that we needed "discussion" before the patch, not after
it, in Yuno's original announcement.

Get your facts straight.

Auto aim is crap anyway >> And tbh most are/were against it

And the HE nerf against subs was a necessity , one of the many tweaks needed for SS's. It
was just SDE being too lazy to do the job entirely

Whenever they went into a new game mode.

GBs don't play like BB class-specific games don't play like BB All games don't play like
Night Battles don't play like CV hunts...

BBs and CVs also don't have 72% of the community saying they need to be nerf'd.

What we're trying to prevent here is a serious nerf, and something that will keep
submarines engaging to play, like the strategic hunters they should be.

Not the "Bum-rush the closest big target and spam torps at it" it is now.

No its not a retorical question as i have an answer: When SS's were released or any BB
that has been tweaked over the years.
