 Get rid of scouts. Fold them into fighters. Make the area of sight around the bb or other ship reasonably big enough as per technologies of the day, binoculars, telescope, sonar, radar. Now bbs and all other ships spot their own targets. CV's can now enjoy doing what CVs should do in this game use their fighters and bombers to help team but mostly just to actually have fun.

Not recommended. Teach BBs to control their scouts while CVs go at it dogfighting and bombing their hearts out.

The problem when a CV scouts with Fts is most BBs no longer launches scout or controlling their scouts efficiently. There are times that a battle line of BBs just keeps on sending scouts into a wall of flak and screams CV SCOUT !!!

So it just boils down to BB players being too lazy or too elitist. And now they've had their CV mommies cut the crusts off for so long they don't want it any other way.

So its scouts for realism? Since when is realism the all say in this game? Realistic Kita torp walls? Realistic torps distances? Realistic SS surviving full BB broadsides? Realistic SS crew survival of sinking? Realistic ship crossings and spawn? Realistic HH? Realistic AWW? Realistic vessel speeds? And the list goes on.

The current use and game design of scouts screws up the game.
