8 front tubes have his advantages and his disadvantages, I already made an entire test of subs in the old version, nobody has paid any attention.. and it's true that IJN are the most powerfull

its just hillarious that think of it like kaiser goes 35 knt with it and it still punch right trough it.....and apperantly 0.2 belt halfs torp damage from some? but i used 0.4" belt?

and the ss4 also survives a full kaiser salvo wich is quite wrong....

As far as I could see, without running extensive test about it, bulge is unaffected by belt.

You'll take a fix ammount of damage on bulge, weither you are belt whore or not, then only when bulge is gone belt halve the torp damage done to the ship.

Correct.
Torpedo hits first check for location, then for the bulge amount and lastly for belt to determine how much damage you receive.

CBA reposting my test about that until such time that you can post pics in replies.

If you have 3 people testing, line the target up on the same side as SS, less travel time...

we were going to see how the cv managed vs the torps tho but then he crashed ;S but the 3rd part could have done that tho

u use bulge in bb or armor?? now serios?

I think some people have problems seeing the main problem here.

As a IJN CV5 with 566 SD, 0.2" belt (optimal) and maximum allowed bulge got basically oneshot.
After the first salvo my SD was negative an the only thing that saved me there is that i use a repairer who managed to get it out of negative before the second torp hit.

And i'd like to note that Shinano is a rare case of a CV that can take 255 bulge and 0.2" belt without sacraficing much.
Shokaku and Kaga on the other hand can "barely" fit 150 bulge (unless they forego any guns/gunners and ghost the BO) and would get oneshotted in a normal GBI-II room and my bulgewhored shinano would live just about 7 seconds more.

Who cares about a CV5? Those thing can kill a 255 bulge BB6 without a single direct hit. I run around 130 on my nebby, 115 on my kaiser, and if I see an IJN I have to take a run for it if I dont want to be heavily buttraped in one salvo.

Because CVs are sometimes flagships and Kaiser should be a honorary BB4 for GBs where linefights are nonexistant.

What's the lesson here for a new player who watched that video? That IJN SS are OP vs ships?
