No way! You cannot do that... because... that would mean... the people who can adapt so well... would have to adapt!
To be honest, they would probably come out with some more OMG BUFF MY SHIP Arguments. And still be sub-standard players ingame.

Use of DC vs SS is suicidal. You are going to get killed but if the SS times his crit dives you've basically done nothing when you could have at least moved in circles keeping sonar on him until he runs out of air which is then a good time to close the distance because you'll see him when overheating and use DC when he dives again/force crit dive again.

actually 1vs1 I'd either surface or box you in torps. A SS torp splash nuke a DD.
